Rainbow - Rising - One of the best hard rock heavy proggy records of the 70's. Blackmore shreds it up and Dio's voice is pure testosterone. What's not to love?

Sea Level - Cats On The Coast - These guys got rejected from the site, but they're still jazz fusion in my heart! Cats On The Coast is arguably the finest blend of R&B, southern rock and breezy coastal jazz that Sea Level ever concocted. Storm Warning is one of my all-time favourite fusion tracks; the band has such great chemistry in their solos on this one. Top-notch jazz with an Allman-themed twist. The best part, though, is the bright, airy summer mood that permeates everything they play. Highly recommended to anyone who loved the Brothers & Sisters album!
when i was a kid a doller was worth ten dollers - now a doller couldnt even buy you fifty cents

^  I bought the debut album when it came out in the 70s.
The band got it's name from keyboardist/vocalist Chuck Leavell (C. Leavell = Sea Level).

Classical music isn't dead, it's more alive than it's ever been. It's just not on MTV.

I prefer `Pure' of the last three Pendragon albums, but those two have plenty of good stuff on them too, mate.

Would you have looked into Clive Nolan's theatrical musical `Alchemy'? I thought that was amazing!

I also prefer Pure and Believe, but I thought it was about time I played the others one aswell.

Haven't picked up any Nolan solo releases for decades. Loved Shadowland and the Jabberwocky album back in the days. I will look into it Thumbs Up

Lush - 'Blind Spot': Their first EP of new music in 20 years, rather than sounding like their last release, it's more of a throwback to their shoegaze era, like some lost songs between 'Spooky' and 'Split'. Not bad.

Queen - 'News of the World': "Sheer Heart Attack" was quite a heavy rocker with the guitar tone getting quite "metallic" towards the end. "Get Down Make Love" is so damn sleazy and groovy with a bit of weirdness.

Just one today.
Zacht Automaat - Disturbed Ground Holy, this is really good. Soft Machine meets Kraftwerk of the first two albums meets Harmonia meets Aphex Twin meets odd hipster image. Really inventive, original music.
Categories strain, crack and sometimes break, under their burden - step out of the space provided.

Today I heard two vastly underrated concept albums: 'Generation 13' by Saga & 'Jeremias (Foreshadow of Forgotten Realms)' by Circle of Illusion.

The latter of the two albums is particularly good. Here it is:

Fleetwood Mac - Mirage

...that moment you realize you like "Mob Rules" better than "Heaven and Hell"
