and it's only a beginning, Ian . Which tracks are your fave so far?

AGALLOCH is a terrific band, btw. I've got "The Mantle" yesterday...listened to it only once, but it seems it's even better than "Ashes against the Grain"!

Hey GS, I just listened to some of your songs again today. Great stuff, when are you gonna cut an album?

Thanks man!  Big%20smile

Well, we're still writing new stuff all the time, and we have about 6 or 7 songs in nearly finished form.  Right now we're more concentrating on playing out and getting in with the local scene.  Our first show is in a couple weeks and should be cool, but we can only play 4 songs in a 25 minute set, and we'll be on first.  Really excited tho!  It's kind of like our coming out party.

The songs on the myspace are some recordings we did back in december, but we're not really happy with how the rest turned out.  We're probably going to try and record some more solid stuff over the summer and make an EP.

New rehearsal demo "42 miles, nautical" posted on the myspace.  It's just a one-take demo so the sound quality isn't the best.

Another newer band I am really digging right now is a band called 5ive:

I recomended 5ive, and now they're on the Prog metal charts, ultra sludgy band.

Meniscus is great, one of the best blends of post rock, and post metal. The twenty minute epic was disapointing though.

I have to disagree with your earlier post and say, the acoustic tracks are some of the best. In fact the title song, horses in the sky is probably my favirote. And theres little doubt in my mind that the album is a five star masterpiece.Smile
