Did all those get published in the magazine? I didn't think you could get away with nipples in the US without the Playboy foil.

Finally done with Crash, I only tried to start watching it 4am...

I have class in 30 minutes but not much else.

Ben, get a 10-string, 34" baritone guitar.

I don't like tele's.

I saw you said last night that AAL were the only metal band that does instrumental music well, and I instantly thought of RC's "Enter". It's not very metal, though, but neither is AAL.

EDIT: so if you like AAL you'll like "Enter" maybe even more. However, don't try their other two albums before, they're not nearly as good.

I thought all pictures were theirs, yes. Maybe they published them online?

I've heard most of Enter on Youtube, and it was alright.  I'd like to try and find a copy on CD but it's hard to come by one.

AAL are pretty metal, though.  Djenty djent djent.

That's interesting, I would have expected you to love Enter. But it's cool.

RE AAL, I must confess I've only heard the album once, so my impressions might not be that accurate.

I'm hoping for Christmas, although it doesn't seem likely between exams and all unfortunately. It's all written up this stage (at about 2 hours of material written and about 45 minutes of super low quality rushed demo versions recorded) so I basically want to work on some new ideas that I have, finish off the other hour or so of stuff and then pick the best parts to create a 30 minute or so demo.

So currently, and tomorrow, I'm working on
-The tracks I want to finish
-Re-recording, adding to and editing the tracks which I've already written
-Choosing whether or not to add vocals/lyrics (which will probably add a month or two for writing for the time it takes)
-Getting a rough idea of which tracks should/will make the final cut.

Really having a fun time making it so far. Hopefully the audio quality on the final product isn't terrible I'll post it up for free download for sure, btw, and I'm making CDr's with booklets for some friends and other people who are interested, not sure how many I'll end up making though. I don't really want this to end up becoming super serious or a chore.

I'll upload one of my tracks somewhere tomorrow if I finish it; the project is still nameless currently, although I'm 90% decided on a name.

I'm struggling with recording the final track of my demo/album/whatever, I gave myself a summer deadline, but as I expected it didn't happen. Got some bass done saturday, though.

What instrumentation will you have? Smile

That sounds interesting. I'm really looking forward to hear if your album will be able to top Conor's Recordungs. LOL
Also, you should definitely add the album art to the download, just like PtS.

It's about 50% guitar, 30% piano and 5% bass with the other instrumentation being most analog synth effects. I'm considering using drums from the Guitar Pro 5 engine, although they have that really computer generated sound to them. I'm considering either actually recording the drums or asking a friend to, but I think it'll probably be drumless if it continues as is.
