I don't think so. Obviously ultimately genre labels are meaningless so if somebody does it like this fair enough by me... but it would make synth-pop a worse misnomer than prog, and that means something. By the way, of course I love Caparezza's Tunnelelel, however I knew that already, so not sure whetehr I'd have voted for it.

@Mike: Sorry to read about your loss. I told it my cat, who is sitting next to me on the couch, listening to an album by Saga, but she gave me a look of indifference - sometimes cats can be so heartless... A little bit of music, in memory of MaCavity: Fay Lovsky - Katzenjammer |

If I am going to have to choose then will stick with the old classics. It is going to have to be Monty Python - "All Things Dull & Ugly".
Staying with oldies. Bill Connolly always put a smile on me too. Nick |

Take Talk Talk: their first two albums they are the closest to the synth pop sound, but there are no synthesizers in their songs. And Talk Talk was put into the synth pop genre especially for their first two albums (synth is present only, and marginally, in their third album, which already deviates from the commercial synth pop sound). Anyway, I like many songs that belong to the synth-pop genre, with or without synthesizers. |

1) Nanowar of Steel “Barbie MILF Princess..."
Fantastic piece! Madre stagionata nel tempo! I'd say a post-metal prog song, with a Barby as protagonist. Contender to the podium 2) Dennis Leary "A**hole" This is a pleasing folk-pop song, with goliardic choirs. 3) Deichkind, "Richtig gutes Zeug" Is this synth-pop? I'd say a very guilty synth-pop pleasure! The video is wonderful Contender to the podium! PS But, Christian, I've listened to this one, now,

Love Billy Connolly too. Would you like him possibly as your personal choice to enter for voting, or The Bonzo Dog Band one? I was remiss in going over the original rules for this poll, my apologies. We put up, usually, up to 3, although some go for more, each for consideration, that we bring to the polls, then each person decides after some deliberation (and potentially discussion), which 1 of their choices will go up for final vote. Those are the ones you see up in the voting area at the top. You may vote for a "Top Three," up in there, but may wish to let us know who, what, why, contended for those spots as well....or not, depending on your inclination. Many of us don't vote for our own selection, but that is individual and not a requirement. Sorry for my not posting more of the "rules," I hope I can be forgiven, in the midst of a time of more moving into a new house, plus had visitors for the past few weeks. Thanks everyone. All of your comments help to ease the pain, but I feel I'll never be able to replace him. He was the most loving and wise cat that I have ever known. I have lost other pets and loved ones in the past, but this one hurts beyond what I ever imagined.
I put this in the R.I.P. thread, but felt I should post it here too since you are all my friends. It was old age that took him, plus being a Maine Coon, he always had respiratory problems, but in the last few weeks, he was getting worse. He always tried to put on a good demeanor anyway, but I could see it was wearing him out. The X-rays showed that his lungs were filled with fluids and his heart was enlarged, but I already knew he had a big heart. Everybody that met him loved him and many of them never liked cats and a few even got cats of their own after meeting him. Life is unfair, it's true, but I am trying to accept that death is part of life. Spring is showing itself in all of it's glory today. I feel his essence in the air and in the buds on the trees, which if he was here, he would be watching while sitting on the patio. At this moment, I can't see getting another cat as he was the best ever. I was lucky to have him in my life. |

You can put Taste as Chicken as P so it at least gets one vote and I can feel good about my suggestion.
