I began the day listening to the upcoming release from Imaginaerium, as I finally managed to finish writing my review. I mention in the first paragraph that it is probably the hardest review I’ve ever had to finish, and I almost didn’t. I lost almost all my motivation to do so, after Eric passed. But I needed to finish it. For Eric, and for me. Once I was done I needed to listen to something completely different, so I whisked myself away into a wave of nostalgia, sparked by the soundtrack to Singles. I hadn’t really planned on listening to what followed, but it seemed to come naturally. I have all these releases on cd, and haven’t listened to some in donkey’s! Singles Alice In Chains - Dirt Pearl Jam - Ten Mother Love Bone - Mother Love Bone Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger Mudhoney - EGBDF Screaming Trees - Sweet Oblivion Truly - Heart and Lungs Temple of the Dog - Temple of the Dog |

Yes, respect to you for finishing it, Nick. The circumstances must make objectivity very difficult, especially if you knew the artist to some degree. I'm sure you'll look back with the passage of time and be pleased you were able to do so...
