Lived in both cities, Baltimore and Pittsburgh. I have fond memories of both, both blue collar towns, crabs in one (the good kind) and keilbasa/perogies in the other. Baltimore is more dense in population while Pitts is a little more rural. Love the Pittsburgh Aviary and Carnegie, very cool as well as the Baltimore Aquarium and inner harbor. Vikings without Ponder may be a bit too much to overcome. Congrats to the Texans, I thought they would lose the way they ended the season.

Kinda like the whole "this country is better than this one" and "this country sucks" cities are cities. I havn't been to one I didn't personally like: NYC, Philly, Boston, Baltimore, Chicago, Toronto, Pittsburgh. It's about the people, ya know? And finding the places/things to do. Granted, it's non debate NYC is the best city on Earth but that can't be helped

I really don't see how. Really, how hard is it to hand the ball off and throw it 2 yards to the tight end? And Webb is more scrambly. Edit: oh wow, Green Bay can't stop anyone running! Hoping for a great game.

At the end of the day, I don't understand the 2012 Bengals. Their offense started strong at the beginning despite 3 of the 5 guys on the O-line being rookies or guys who had never started a professional game before, and their defense was terrible. They end the season in the wild card round with a defense that (for the most part) kept them in the game and an offense that was a whopping 0/9 on 3rd down conversions.
Like I said on Facebook though, this team desperately needs another WR since it appears Gresham isn't going to be that big second weapon for Dalton, and an ILB and safety to really shore up that secondary and the middle of the field, which has been pretty questionable as of late.
I guess I'm just back to rooting against the Pats at this point.

Yeah that's pretty much it, but that's the joy/pain of a young team. Could crash, but there's much potential for the future. Yikes, Ponder may not be much but he IS better than Webb These throws have been...well sh*t. At least Ponder is OK. With it down to literally just AP Packers are gunna run away now. Oh well, here's to what should be a good Seattle/Washington game with hopefully a win for the hawks!

Vikings fell apart completely. Webb is actually worse than Ponder, which is hard to believe.

I didn't think the first game was all that bad. No classic for sure, but not a snoozefest like this second one.

Ponder really hasn't been bad, he hasn't been good but not bad. He just...doesn't do much. May be the most limited passing game in the NFL. He IS experienced though, which Webb was not. I don't see how they woulda won anyway, Packers actually managed to stop AP so yeah, they were toast. I wonder how many people think Lewis isn't actually retiring, my ravens friend doesn't actually believe it He IS old and has had 2 straight, progressively worse, injuries. I think he's sincere about it, and pulled the Jerome Bettis card of declaring it during the season so the team can rally around him. Pretty good idea, long as you're liked! When Tiki tried it I think secretly many of the Giants just said "good" and didn't try much harder at all. Edit: Especially if Ray has an honest assessment of his current talent. It'd much less shameful to retire, then either being cut or playing terribly. Age catches everyone. After mulling over which team I'd prefer, I'm going Ravens. The other northeast team I can tolerate (sorry Jets I tried) And though I didn't go to Rutgers the allure of ray rice even has me gripped

There are of course many, probably a dozen, terrible calls (or non calls) every game for both sides but when it happens for the Ravens that's the only time it matters right? BTW it's almost 7 years later and Ben still never did cross the goal line on that SB scramble It don't matter, whoever wins this game is gunna fail miserably to the Broncos, Pats and even the suddenly good again Texans. Anyway, I'm off until tonight. Go hawks! Own the deadskins. Run RG3 in the ground. Just don't give up the deep pass on a play action/fall for their deception and ya can win easy! BTW my offensive rookie of the year is Russell Wilson. Brilliant year he had, and more impressive than Griffin's good but largely deception based system.

The refs had a terrible 1st quarter, all around. That bad interference before i left earlier, then the fumble that Indy clearly didn't recover, then missing a Raven nearly ripping a recievers helmet off by the facemask (it even happened right in front of one of the refs), and missing another facemask committed on Luck. BTW it's almost 7 years later and Ben still never did cross the goal line on that SB scramble
Just FU, at this point. It don't matter, whoever wins this game is gunna fail miserably to the Broncos, Pats and even the suddenly good again Texans.Whomever wins is losing in Denver, next week, yes.Anyway, I'm off until tonight. Go hawks! Own the deadskins. Run RG3 in the ground. Just don't give up the deep pass on a play action/fall for their deception and ya can win easy! Couldn't really care less who wins. Leaning Redskins because, whenever possible, I side with the outdoor team. This does go against my pick, though BTW my offensive rookie of the year is Russell Wilson. Brilliant year he had, and more impressive than Griffin's good but largely deception based system. I agree, should be Wilson. |
Flacco having his typically game: be sh*tty, wait for a broken play, force a dump pass in to Ray Rice, watch him run. Early on he damn near missed Torrey Smith when there wasn't anybody within a mile of him. Also, I don't think I could possibly hate a fanbase more than Baltimore (ok, probably Red Sox fans). First off, it's professional football, not college, so lose the stupid band. Secondly, it's also not a soccer game so lose the idiotic soccer chant. Too early to rage?

I'd wondered aloud how the Colts were winning so many games this season. Didn't get an answer today. No idea how this team made the playoffs.

Well, valiant effort from the Colts but they were never the better team. Flacco finally got something going. He is painful to watch generally, and is kinda lucky that one floater Boldin nabbed between defenders but it was enough. Congrats to the Ravens. IDK what you want man. You'll go back to a Ravens game from 1998 and pick out a play in the 3rd quarter 5:40 left when Ray Lewis got a gift of a pick that was a joke blah blah blah blah but god forbid the same is done to your stillers? FU you say? I wonder if you have a taste of what Jody takes from you constantly Besides, Stillers won that SB and deserved to but fact is fact, never crossed the plane bro. Farthest it gets, he then sticks it in after he's on the ground. SUCK IT

Colts made it because while Luck was wildly inconsistent, he did display some clutchness and pulled wins out of his ass. Considering he had zero easing into the game (his 627 attempts were 14th all time, and comes out to 39 a game) and has a pretty sucky team, the rookie from Stanford has met expectations.
Alright time to drink in either joy or misery. CMon seattle, don't tell me you can't beat Baylor...Shanhan and co should be coaching staff of the year for his whack system that keeps working at this level :(

The Ravens D played a great game, and it was nice to see Flacco and Boldin click a bit.Hated to see Rice cough the ball up twice. He doesn't fumble much in the regular season, but has this maddening tendency of doing it in the playoffs.
