Hola right back at ya Steve! It’s been a while yes.
I haven’t heard the new Animal Collective yet but am now jonesing for a spin. Think I’ll spin Strawberry Jam tonight though as an amuse bouche.

Me yesterday:
ELO - ll
Massive Attack - Protection
Portishead - Dummy
Richard Dawson - XX
Rush - Permanent Waves
McDonalds & Giles - s/t
XTC - English Settlement (fun fact about the track ‘It’s Nearly Africa’: For a number of years I heard the chorus as ‘Oh Oh Johnny Uppercut’. I still hear it half of the time even when I know the lyrics )
Trentemøller - The Last Resort
Unknown Mortal Orchestra - Sex + Food

Hi! It's been a while, I hope you're all doing great Smile

One thing I've been enjoying since I stopped listing constantly is that I don't feel bad for listening to the same albums multiple times. These have been in heavy rotation lately:

Susanne Sundfør - Music for People in Trouble (A very appropriate album for these times.)
Elephant9 - Arrival of the New Elders (Great atmosphere and interesting harmonies, I've been obsessed with 'Throughout the worlds'.)
Krokofant - Fifth (Very groovy and energic. 'Watcher of the Fries' is the best title ever and indeed a nod to the Genesis song.)
Miss Lava - Doom Machine (Probably the band I saw the most live and I saw them again last month. I bought their latest album and it hasn't left the car CD player since.)
O Marta - Ó Moça, É Folclore (An interesting new artist, mixing Indie Rock with Portuguese Folk. I find it very heartwarming.)

Recent single listens:
Klaus Schulze - Mirage
Torga Ostera - Queda Ascendente
O Corvo Mudo - Linhas
Zanov - Open Worlds
Ange - Emile Jacotey
Fausto - Crónicas da Terra Ardente
Tangerine Dream - Rubycon

Hi Samuel
Doing quite good actually. I am eating a cucumber and listening to This Heat on full blast…and somehow finding time to write about it. That’s what about 5 cups of coffee inside a small time frame can do
A second, third or fourth spin of any album only really speaks about the quality methinks…and that’s a good thing!
I do the same some times. Had a recent run with Massive Attack’s 2010 release Heligoland where it quite often got two or three spins a-day.
On a really hot summerday though I think I could put Lucio Battisti’s Anima Latina on repeat and be good for most of the day
Nice picks btw.

Steve: I trust I’ve infected you with the jolly Johnny-Uppercut doubt now…because…well he does seem to be saying it, at least, a couple of times
My brain is soft…
The Beach Boys? What a great idea. I have Wild Honey within arms reach (which may just be my new favourite sentence!).

Hi Samuel :)
That Krokofant album is an album I’ve had in my downloads folder for months, but I have had limited means lately (mostly due to software malfunctions and my inability to work around it) to listen to mp3s. But I will try harder.

Today was weird:

Beach Boys | Live in London
Terry Riley | A Rainbow in Curved Air
John Coltrane | Ascension
Dogbowl | Live on WFMU
