Glad you asked.
I have two reasons.
First, it enables me at a glance to see if someone has replied to anything I've posted (my signature now does that, but it wasn't always so- I once had a text only signature). Now I've become used to it.
Second, I despise most san-serif fonts. Look:

See that? That's a capital I followed by two lowercase Ls...with a serif font, it looked like this:

Not particularly. I'm burning through this Winter Lager case pretty quick. I know my wife will have a comment on that.

Incidentally, Last.fm has started recommending Ruins. I guess it's time I get around to it. Also, I take back my comment about Embryo, they aren't good, they are great.

Half the time it isn't even helpful. It basically says "Look at all these albums you will never afford" and yeah, I hate the cursor trapping thing.

Well...like I mentioned, still not completely comfortable, but I spoke to my dad a few days ago (he and I are basically one and the same, so it has never been difficult talking to him about anything).
But it was, all things considered a very lovely and reassuring conversation (although she does seem to insist on telling me the comments people leave on her Facebook pictures...as though I can't see them myself online  ). Oh well...we are talking again.
