That sucks and is well out of order, Bourdais was being cut up by the car that went around him so he had to lift. Yet again, the stewards prove incompitent, surprise surprise.

Of course were Bourdais driving for a certain Italian team with a history of painting their cars red there would have been no penalty at all. Wink

I really hope the race today is more entertaining than the 2 GP2 races this weekend which bar a few moments were duller than watching paint dry.

Ahhhh, you know how Pocono is.
It's in the 60's and cloudy, then 80 and blistering heat, then a 45 minute rain delay, then its hot again.....

and
Noooooooooo! Kovalainen won his first race and I missed it!
Ahhhhhhh man........well congrats to the young Finn

And the PA 500 was not bad, we got stuck parking waaay out in the boondocks with the white trash. HOLY SH*T! The race was done at 7 and we got home at midnight, (and I live only 2 hour from the track) I won't go into details but drunken white trash idiots need to learn how to drive!!!!1 LOL

^I dont know, especially when since it was done in the second session where the Honda's normally tumble to the bottem end of the time sheets like Barrichello did today. Its thought Sunday's race will be more of a case of when rather than if the saftey car turns up. Possible upset, maybe?

Looks like Massa grabbed another pole.
I know I've been looking foward to this race for a while, hope it's as good as I expect.

Well the GP2 race was relatively dull, there are a couple of overtaking spots but unless we see a safety car or poor weather I don't think it'll be a particularly good race.

Guess we'll find out.
One thing I DO hope is they watch out with the street circuits. I like them, which is why Im looking foward to this one and Singapore. But I remember hearing, (maybe it was only rumors) about street circuits in Abu Dhabi and somewhere else in the future.

Don't over do it is all I'm saying.

Abu Dhabi will join next year, but its more of a purpose built race track with a section made to resemble a street circuit.

Button will be one to watch, he's definitely faster than 16th but couldnt get the supper soft tyres to work for him.

After all that...I missed this race helping my friend move into her dorm LOL
I can only look up the finishing stats but how was the actual race?

And congrats to Massa

On another note: I was which rookie of 08 would turn out the best and so far it looks like Vettel is starting to come around

The race was rather dull, actually. I was expecting a lot more from this one, especially after the unpradictable qualifying, but not much happened except for the two mistakes in the Ferrari pits. I've seen that Massa wasnt penalised for being released into Sutil's path but Ferrari have been given an official reprimand and a 10 000 euro fine. A fai decission but the fine could have been bigger. Two Ferrari engine blow ups in as many races, thats not good.

Sad news today, the 1961 world champion, Phill Hill, has passed away in a hospital in California after complications with Parkinsons Disease. http://www.itv-f1.com/news_article.aspx?id=43759Cry

He remains the only American born F1 champ and one of the few drivers to have one both Le Mans and the F1 title. RIP.

Just saw the news, (I was partying up at my friends place this weekend)
Phil Hill has died. Unhappy
The only American born driver to win the F1 title, hopefully another one will sometime, (but I doubt anytime soon)

Spa in the wet is always interesting but those final 3 laps were absolute madness. I don't think I've ever seen a finish like that before.

^I have but not in F1, World Touring Cars a few years ago at the previous incarnation of the Bus Stop chicane, led to Stephano D'Aste (an indipendant) streightlining the chicane and almos winning the race.

Crazy all right but I really feel sorry for Kimi, his title challenge is over now and he had that win sown up before the rain came. Bourdais was stunning, I wander where he lost out to Vettel and Kubica, as he had them beat only half a lap earlier.
