Miles Davis | On the Corner - pretty engrossing and high energy rock/funk

Klaus Schulze | X - one of his finest, and that says a lot

Shuggie Otis | Inspiration Information / Wings of Love - wow this is pretty stuff.

Beach Boys | Live in London - messy but fun fun fun live set from their late 60s weed smokin days.

Blur | Bustin’ and Dronin’ - Japan-only release of remixes and live versions

Amon Duul II | Tanz der Lemminge - superlative. Once placed it in my top 10 all time.

Frank Zappa | The Perfect Stranger (Boulez, cond.) - decent orchestral/Synclavier release. His Synclavier programming would get much better later on.

Grateful Dead/John Oswald | Grayfolded - “Plunderphonic” audio collage comprised entirely of live performances of Dark Star. Wow, man.

Public Image Ltd | Compact Disc — good ol’ mid 80s loud guitar/synth rock, with John Lydon doing his thing over it. A neat combination.

A funny mixed bag this last week which probably reflects my state of mind..

Killing Joke- Nightime (bit of a throw-back to the 'Eighties' and 'Chicken dancing' around to this and the Cult.. oh dear..)
Ozric Tentacles- Vitamin enhanced (6 cd box of all early cassette only releases.. thinking back to 'Henge 85 and the battle of the Beanfield..
Hawkwind - Space Bandits.. one of my favourite of the later lps
Neil Young- Trans.. I just love 'Like an Inca'.... 'Brother we gotta go, lot sooner than you know...'
Orb- UFOrb.. for a bit of light relief
Vangelis- Soil festivities.. cos the thunder storm sounded like the one going on outside...
Porcupine tree- Up the Downstair… I love this one and 'On the Sunday of Life'.. feel very different to their/his (SW) later efforts; less forced, more naturally melancholic, more colour & warmth; less cold and detached.
That's it for now as another low pressure wet front rolls in off the Atlantic...
