Finally got the Ed Wynne 'Shimmer into Nature' lp and am playing it non stop.. more ambient, trance-dance orientated but with a nice spacey-Jazz rock element; bits remind me of Ashra 'New age of Earth' with hints of Pat Metheny group even.. A lightness of touch which is sometimes missing from some Ozrics material.. Yes, im enjoying this and its very appropriate for all the elements, Sun, Rain, Thunder, Wind and boy have I been out in all of those today!!

Jandek | Brooklyn Wednesday - an old favorite. Live and improvised atonal electric trio with one of the more impressive drum performances I’ve heard- in that he alone seems to shape and hold together the entire trio - and for “songs”, not mere jams. And he was just sitting in for a night or two.
Can | Out of Reach - Can’s worst album by common consensus, but I’ve grown to like it quite a bit. Amon Duul (UK) with Robert Calvert | Die Losung - cool album. Sounds a little like Quark-Hawkwind but Calvert sounds a tad like Richard Butler from the Psychedelic Furs Ghost | In Stormy Nights - was this their last one? What an amazing band. Alexander Spence | Oar - there’s some magic here. Talented guy, albeit a few sandwiches short of a picnic. Traffic | Mr. Fantasy - damn, a fun album. Very different from later stuff Code 13 | Complete Discography 1994-2000 - a bit of catharsis. Hardcore! Or is it Crust Punk? Never understood that term. Edited by HolyMoly - June 11 2020 at 19:06 |

^Really nice selection there Steve.
I really dig Out Of Reach myself and don’t understand its poor rep. I feel Flow Motion is the lesser 70s album...though by Can standards. These guys were never anything less than wildly interesting..regardless of track or genre. I gotta revisit Ghost! I used to spin them on a weekly basis. Absolutely adore the Free Tibet one Last couple of days: Die Wilde Jagd - s/t, Haut Serge Gainsbourg - Histoire de Melody Nelson Dr John - Gris-Gris Kim Larsen - Midt Om Natten Tame Impala - The Slow Rush Bubu - Anabelas Siinai - Olympic Games Delirium - lll DJ Shadow - Endtroducing... Aktuala - s/t Tim Buckley - Starsailor |

Oh no man don't say that Starfire is fantastic! I think I haven't played it in a year or so but I still remember it's really really good, it has a perfect balance of electronic and acoustic instruments, give it more time I'm sure you'll dig it.
Great list BTW, nice to see you spinning William Sheller. I first encountered his name when he did the orchestral arrangements to Emmanuel Booz (le jour ou les vaches album) This is a very recommended album with a beautiful mix of prog and soft dark and haunting orchestra with dramatic passionate french vocals sorta like Ange...damn it, it's another personal favorite I haven't played in a long time |

Martha + the Muffins | Metro Music — some of the best new wave/art rock around. Great band
John Mayall | USA Union - chillin blues with Harvey Mandel on guitar and Sugarcane Harris on violin. ‘Cane gets a bit excessive at times but otherwise this is a sweet one Jandek | Camber Sands Sunday - more power trio madness of the improv atonal variety. This has the most aggressive song i’ve yet heard from Jandek, Hair of the Dog, almost noise rock. Electric Prunes | Mass in F Minor - kinda cool really. Rock jamming with choral vocals. Peter Townshend | Scoop - highly recommended for Who fans. Pretty fully fleshed demos os some great Who songs spanning 1965-1981 Soft Machine | Land of Cockayne - always dismissed this one, but it’s a pretty nice jazz fusion album for its time. Definitely you should assimilate the entire Jenkins era before diving in though. Sonic Youth | Daydream Nation (deluxe version, bonus live disc) - the classic album performed live, pre-release, and in a different track order. History in the making Spacemen 3 | Translucent Flashbacks (The Glass Singles) - wonderful trance-inducing guitar madness Spacemen 3 | Playing With Fire - ditto Sonic Youth | Rather Ripped - latter day album I don’t know that well. Pretty ok I guess. Lots of fans like this one. Faust | IV - a classic! |
