Yeah, as I said in another thread, Steve, congrats on that promotion!
Your knowledge about different kinds of music, everything from rock to zeuhl, never ceases to amaze me. Those who decide who to promote to the sub-genre teams have made a wise decision here, methinks. The RIO/Avant/Zeuhl Team should praise themselves lucky to have you as part of their group of collaborators.

Live Peace in toronto would've been so fantastic. John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Kalus Voorman, and Alan White all in the same band! But then Yoko f**king Ono had to be added in. I respect Ono and even enjoy some of her work but she ruined the album.

I've never heard that album, but that's the typical complaint. I'm kind of surprised they released it, to be honest. The band was unrehearsed and mostly just played covers. I guess since it was an all-star band, that gives it historical importance. And I do like Yoko Ono, but she's done better avant garde than just screaming over amplifier feedback (which is what I assume she does here).

During Yer Blues and Cold Turkey she started screaming into the mike while they were playing. If she had at least waited until the second side, which showcases her songs, I'd be fine, but she just ruined those songs, she was out of place. It's like John brought in some random guy to yell while they're playing, except that guy is Yoko.

Ah. Yeah, I've heard her do that before, on the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus show (recommended, if you haven't seen it). I don't think she messed up Yer Blues, but she did have her own wailing showcase on another tune.
The Who stole the show though, performing the proto-mini-rockopera "A Quick One While He's Away" - this was pre-Tommy and really set the stage for bigger things IMO, a real defining moment for them. This clip also has Spanish subtitles, yip yip hooray.
