You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

I grabbed this one on my way out the door this morning, so I think that I will join you in listening to it.  Change of plans. I needed the CD drive to load some programs on to the network.  Back to the iPod for this one:

Figures they'd remaster it after I got it on CD.

You know that feeling when you've given up all hope on someone and then they come back with a killer album? I had that couple of years ago with Foo Fighters and Mark Knopfler, and now DT has done it.

Peter Gabriel II was my first PG LP.  Somehow the CD cover doesn't have the same impact due to shrinkage of the image.  And after having fallen for old Genesis in a big way before I got it, I didn't quite like it.  However, it grew on me.

I'm listening to PG II for a review that will be up later. It is by far my least favorite piece of work by PG. I like the debut more than most fans, but this unfortunately is just weak. There are some interesting moments, but it really sounds like he was in a pretty deep depression at the time and the well was running a bit dry. It also suffers from too many musicians and poor production. It also has one of the worst songs by PG ever, "Home Sweet Home."

The Cover is one of his best though.....along with III.

The thing I really like about PG is that he continued to make more challenging music when Genesis was going more tame and commercial until So.

The central randomizer has said I need to listen to this:

The album where it all came together for Djam Karet, Reflections From The Firepool.

A band not as well appreciated around these parts as they should be.

I only gave it 4 stars but it really is a great album. I love Gato.
