Player 2: "I failed to be profitable. I'll have to leave the game altogether. Oh f**k I can't even pay taxes to help save the big also-unprofitable brother. There come the IRS guys... I'm screwed...".

Real competition with player 1 being private:

Player 1 and 2: "look, we both know the rules of the game and we have the same chance at succeeding. Let's play and see who can convince more people with good prices and great service of buying our stuff. And if any of us fails, player 3 is ready to jump in and offer a new alternative".

Happy birthday Ayn Rand, whose little book served to give Shields an identity Tongue and started me on the road to discovery, study, reading and liberating.

Happy Birthday Ms. Rand. You may have been a cruel, self-absorbed bitch, but you certainly had a penetrating intellect and wrote some great defenses of capitalism.

You Rand-haters don't get her at all, do you. The "self-absorbtion" was the essence of her philosophy.

How is she a terrible person in the first place? She just wrote books about philosophy and attracted a rather large following. I didn't know that was a terrible thing to do. Yes, her philosophy is pretty much contradictory to everything we are taught to believe, but that doesn't mean she was terrible.

Lol I'm the Rand hater with the username taken from her novels, who has repeatedly said that I greatly admire her.

I've read every piece of non-fiction that she's written, but I don't get her.

She has a pretty bad reputation for being a terrible person, despite the fact that she never really did anything to hurt anyone besides write things that they didn't like.

Exactly what I'm saying. people tend to be shortsighted when they don't like something they hear
