So, you would prefer physical torture over mental torture? ... I wouldn't.
Let me put it this way: Neither physical nor most mental torture do I fear more than floating in a vacuum, without direction and without contact with any other physical object. Perhaps it's not that bad and slightly irrational to fear it more than physical torture, but I fear it nonetheless. But not that much more than an asteroid. Wink

I would miss bumblebees the most. I love those fluffy little buggers! Always flying like they just stepped out of a whiskey saloon.

I like Bumbles too, but prey they never nest in your house-- that's right, in your house, in the walls, where they sneak out into the house.   A horror I wish on no one.

Things that seriously frighten me?   Bad neighbors.

They never sting me (my sister though....Ouch!). They often seem awfully attracted to me. Maybe it's because I wear a lot of yellow and red. I do wear a lot of colours actually, I mean why wouldn't you?

^ Or maybe it's because you smell great.

Shouldn't be a problem if your house is moldy.

^ Maybe--  I had to call an expert and he sealed off the nest but we were getting bees in the house for weeks.   Normally I wouldn't have destroyed a nest but this was seriously unacceptable.

Bad neighbours are relative. You mean Hunter S. Thompson, a bag-pipes convention, Bam Margera, Ted Bundy, a reality show or maybe something a little more subtle like living next door to the Michael Bolton Fanclub?

^ Very true, and why one should be grateful for the screaming child; you could have Charlie Manson.   In this case I speak generally of the first-time home owner or renter that assumes because they're paying good money they can do what they want, e.g. noise, taking up parking, etc.   I guess there's a learning curve.   Ah well, someday I'll live rurally.

We used to get paperwasp nests on the outside of house as well, beautiful things.  I let those guys stay, they kept to themselves

I'm occasionally the bad neighbour to be honest. There is not a single person that I've ever lived next to, that haven't at some dastly late hour of the night been awaken to the sounds of a delirious Gulle crancking up Trout Mask Replica. Never fails. Pour a small ocean of alcohol inside me and this is how my night ends up 80% of the time.

^^ It's why no one should have less than 5 feet (too lazy to convert) of space between their buildings.  But of course there's just not enough space in cities.

'Gulle' is merely a nickname both my father and I share. Comes from the family name of Guldbrandsen = Gulle. It's been my name for as long as I can remember.

We would struggle without bees.

The rise of so many religious/spiritual cults...kind of a forest fire...erasing numerous gullible identities everyday at the pretext of a peaceful happy life/higher spiritual knowledge...

That humanity will eventually make its way into the universe and that up too.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?
