This. I worry about health more than anything else, I guess.

I have more mild concerns about situations like Ukraine, because one of these days it will be a situation like that where a 'miscalculation' will occur and there will be a disaster affecting all of us, in a way that any post war generation wouldn't understand.

The stupidity of people with their hands on the buttons worry me more than any of these. Let's face it, none of the listed scenarios are something we can do anything about. If I were a religious man, I'd probably just say that it was our time to go.
In the greater scheme of things, then they're actually all events that continuously change the surface of our planet, for better or worse.

Seriously, none of the three poll choices
Still, a few years ago I was in Germany in the Eifel mountains, where's there are many dead and sleeping volcanoes. The ground rises each year a few millimeters, there are a few geysirs  which we visited, and you see the traces of volcanism everywhere, and there's a super volcano (Maria Laach) which is said to have stones being erupted as far as Sweden and Italy long ago.
If the Maria Laach volcano erupts, all of Belgium and the southern half of the Netherlands could be covered under a layer of ashes.

During these holidays, my wife and I saw the film 2012, about the eruption of the Yellowstone caldera, which is supposed to be the biggest supervolcano ever.
I must say, the combination was pretty wild, the movie and being in an actual supervolcano area.

Still, chances of a super volcano erupting during our lifetime is pretty low.

I voted for the super volcano eruption. Asteroids are concern, but it so happened that I was watching the Discovery Channel in a hotel room in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, when I first learned about the potential Yellowstone super volcano - a little unnerving.

Let me put it this way: Neither physical nor most mental torture do I fear more than floating in a vacuum, without direction and without contact with any other physical object. Perhaps it's not that bad and slightly irrational to fear it more than physical torture, but I fear it nonetheless. But not that much more than an asteroid. Wink

Bad neighbours are relative. You mean Hunter S. Thompson, a bag-pipes convention, Bam Margera, Ted Bundy, a reality show or maybe something a little more subtle like living next door to the Michael Bolton Fanclub?

I'm occasionally the bad neighbour to be honest. There is not a single person that I've ever lived next to, that haven't at some dastly late hour of the night been awaken to the sounds of a delirious Gulle crancking up Trout Mask Replica. Never fails. Pour a small ocean of alcohol inside me and this is how my night ends up 80% of the time.

Yippee! I didn't know St Helens or Hood was acting up, of course, being so close to Rainier, that's the one that truly freaks me out! Auburn is on a lahar zone, but it'd have to be one big lahar to reach this far out... and the off shore earthquake is quite illusive, they say the juan de fuca fault has slipped sometimes in 250 year intervals, and sometimes in 800 year intervals, but I believe the average is every 350 years. So we're getting there... but ya know what, whatever, this is a beautiful place to live, and almost everywhere has its fair share of hazards, when it comes down to it, good place to live!!

Agreed it's a worthy trade-off. And with technology these days, I imagine we'll get a decent warning if anything were to happen.

I live down in Eugene, and the city's already working on infrastructure in some areas to better stand the earthquake.
