My most embarrasing piece of music is admitting to having a Genesis album in my collection....usually they are only used for insomniacs...and even then...................

Having some of the later Genesis albums in my collection(anyone want them?).

I also like REM, Automatic For The People is a great album.

Evanescence, great keyboard/guitar combo, and great voice, but a little lacking in the prog department

Finally Coldplay, like Evanescence has a great keyboard(just listen to Clocks), but I think there're talented enough that they could be a great prog group if they wanted to be; curse progs lack of popularity these days, I want the 70s back!

I do have to agree with the person who was 'embarresed' by prog, when mentioning prog to my friends I usually have to follow with a list of 50 bands before they recognize even one.

Now there's no more oak oppression,
For they passed a noble law,
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet, axe, and saw.

I admit I am a big fan of Ska. It's not that bad, really. I mean Goldfinger, Reel Big Fish, Suburban Legends, it's all good.

I like a lot of different types of music. But as far as embarassing goes, I can only come up with 3:

Abba
The Monkees
Yanni (only his live stuff. Is he prog?)

Well, I wouldn't necessarily say I'm embarrassed, but a lot of classical and baroque artists are continuously finding themselves locked inside my head, such as Bach, Tchaikovsky, and Mozart for the main ones. Vivaldi, also, but not as much.

And I don't know if it's valid or not, but stand-up comedy is another top one for me. Comics such as Bill Hicks, George Carlin, and Lewis Black (not as much) are ones I usually listen to when I'm not in the best of moods.

I've got a 'Blind Guardian' album in my collection..
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Don't ask me why, but I'm a sucker for "The Crash Test Dummies: and "Men Without Hats."
Oh boy....glad I got that off my chest.

Genesis - 'Abacab' and 'Genesis'

I actually like them a bit, but both are just trash in comparison to Foxtrot

I also enjoyed Steve Hackett's 'Cured'.

All of them are 3/5 albums.

Any Tom Waits. His voice really scares people. They stare at me in disbelief ...

Propaghandi (sp?) - very hateful, down with everything,  punk.

Nickelback - My sister had it playing while I was doing yard work the other day and I started doing air guitar motions.

And as for Blind Guardian, one of my favorite bands.

(Nightfall in Middle Earth especially, I know almost all the songs and rambuncious guitar solos)
