Gentlemen.... I've only heard 3 myself! I'm not sure whether David is saying that he doesn't know these albums or has heard and doesn't like any... either way, there is ample opportunity for both of us to extend our 1978 knowledge and musical palettes in the near future...

He clearly said and i quote " I don't like any album from this poll." But I think it's me he does not like and needs to attack or something. Whatever... |

Gotta go with UK, but Tangerine Dream is a close second, and Kraftwerk third.

Comparatively to 77 & 79 and the ones prior to it as well, 78 is relatively poor (IMHO), but if course, 78 is better than any year of the 80's, 90's, 00's & 10's.

My record collection tells me 1980 and 1981 are two of my favorite years in music. A little slim om quality jazz and "regular prog" perhaps, but hundreds of wonderful albums in all styles and genres.

I'd tell you that until 83/4, there 's still a bunch of good albums out (if you care to look in RIO/Avant), but every new year less so than the preceding one. That's all music forms considered together (even 80's jazz is poor). From 85 until 90, I wouldn't be able to give you more than 5. . |

so you attack me (again) and then tell me to not interact with you. I was already trying to do that believe it or not, but you seem to like to provoke me. (And not only me from what I've seen)

Right, about half of them, and I'm sorry to say, I'm not much for PopcoRn. Edited by David_D - May 20 2022 at 14:09 |

I'll just keep away from all your stuff, that's easier - and what wouldn't I do to become free of all your primitive hypocrisy? Edited by David_D - May 20 2022 at 12:32 |

you had to edit your post with an insult. Maybe you need to read the rules how to post on the forum. You have broken all possible rules. |

Excellent stuff! And all in an evening's work! Never let it be said that PA isn't educational... Your knowledge of Prog from 1978 easily exceeds mine, now...

If somebody's looking for a kind of objective (intersubjective) answer, I'll recommend to look at my top 160 all-time based on all the ratings on RYM and PA.
