Work related.
I would consider Hawaii a good place to visit only if you're established on the West Coast.  For a beach vacation I found the various Caribbean islands to be just as good, if not better.
I don't even like the beach. :P I would like to go to Hawaii, but the cost is too much so I probably won't any time soon, if ever. What exactly does an engineer do in Hawaii?

Defense-related stuff at a fairly (in)famous naval base.

I've noticed that Penny Arcade's jokes are getting more and more obvious has time goes on. Gabe used to work retail, and for Black Friday they had a comic about customers wanting things in the back.

A girl that I used to work left our firm to work for GM Finance and she would have to travel to various dealerships throughout the country to audit them for record purposes.  The first time I saw her after she had left, she was talking about how she had had to do audits in Florida, San Francisco and Hawai'i.  Of course, all were during the winter.  In that same period of time I had also gone on 3 business trips for client audits to Arkansas, Alabama, and Indiana.  Somehow, I think that she made the right decision for a job change.

Rob, let me save you the money.  You can pretty reasonably skip my previous month recommendation for Eureka's Shackleton's Voyage.

I'm really sorry Vic.  I bought the thing, enjoyed it at first despite the tackiness, and then it just didn't do much for me.

I finally am done with exams, the last one wasn't so bad, my instructor made breakfast casserole for the class( in a community college the class size at the end of the semester is rather small compared to the beginning). The test itself wasn't that bad either.

How about the narration on Return to the Center of the Earth, which is done by Patrick Stewart, aka Jean-Luc Picard?

I believe that Charlie Dominici's O3-A Trilogy Part One has to have the most unexpected sound ever of any album that I have ever heard.  It is quite good in its own way, but totally unexpected.  Especially, since I heard O3-A Trilogy Part Two first, which sounds pretty much like what I would expect from Charlie Dominici.

I tried the Hazards of Love again, but I couldn't make it all the way through. Halfway through Isn't It A Lovely Night? I couldn't take it anymore. Now I'm going to try Femina.
