^ Hopefully you can make it, too. I'm looking on ViaMichelin and Skopje-Athens is less than an 8 hours drive. How about a bus trip, is there such a bus?

Living in a metropolis of the highest ranking comes with some advantages, yeah. This year and a half since I've been here has been amazing. I've seen Tortoise and Ulver, I'm seeing GY!BE, so what next? Hopefully Sigur Ros Big smile

^^ yeah, there is bus Skopje to Athens, but is very loong journey, also waiting at the border is also exausting, adding few hours more, but i hope i will think of something

That is a great release. Heard it a couple days ago. I also recommend "Sunriseinthesea" by Time Columns, and "We Can Create Our Own World" by Deadhorse.

New Envy is so good, new  Hua Lun is also a excellent release, worth hearing. new  World's End Girlfriend is pretty fine, some weird music, but good one

I have found this really good post rock band called Alfheimr,and have become mesmerized by their laid back,mellow brand of PR.
 
 
All three of their releases "These Songs We Sing Will Fade To SIlence","Dream Sequences" and "Light and Air" are HIGHLY recommended.
 
On a seperate note,I have been getting into a lot of mod-classical lately,which shares a lot of similarities to post rock.Cellists Zoe Keating and Julia Kent are quickly becoming favorites of mine,along with groups like The Portland Cello Project,Hummingbird,Woodworkings,The Lickets and Hidden Orchestra.

i wanted to add Alfheimr to PA, but the man doesn't want to share his picture with us, so i didn't added him for now, can i add just some random picture to say some album cover or something ?
 
i listened Hummingbird yesterday, some strange music,  i cannot clasify it, you are sayin mod-classical is that? LOL great music BTW. i know The Lickets, also some strange music, classical in it's roots, post rock elements, indie.. and something in between 

new The Ocean seriously rocks!!! like it more than the previous one, they are back to form. 
new Maserati is ..cool, nothing special, but satisfying 
on the drone/psychedelic doom note, new Electric Wizard is excellent , love it, scary as hell, brutal, has energy, fantastic
new  Agalloch .. the album i've been waiting for years , just perfect, stunner, as i expected they never made bad album.  Ghosts of the Midwinter Fires, The Watcher's Monolith are killer tracks, tracks that most resemble to the old Agalloch we all know and love; Into the Painted Grey heavy as hell, i guess one of the most brutal tracks they made, like it, so powerfull, Black Lake Nidstång is so epic, what an odisey; To Drown some gloomy dooms day offering, very striking.. Agalloch, they never seize to amaze me

i saw Dorena live in concert last week, young band from Sweden, but they did hell of show, very promising talented ones.

I call it mod classical but it's sort of a mixture of classical,ambient and post rock.I think post rock and metal is getting a bit stale and these bands I have been listening to are like a breath of fresh air.

Wow... Long time since I visited this thread! I just wanted to say that I saw Explosions in the Sky the other day and they were pretty damn epic!

I know! I still haven't seen them yet. I wanted to when they came to Merriwether Post Pavilion with The Flaming Lips, but I couldn't.

I saw Anathema live in concert yesterday, perfect show, amazing performance, i was stunned, they played almost entire new album, few tracks from Judgement, they even played one of my favorite tracks which they rarely play it - A Dying Wish, one of the best shows i've ever seen. Anathema are a must-see

you are touring with Quantum Fantay ? that's great , their new album is one of my favorite 2010 releases so far, it's a killer
