I've gotten BBT's The Underfall Yard and English Boy Wonders, although the latest one is definitely much stronger.
I think that Essence is much stronger overall than The Hard Shoulder, although The Man From Planet Marzipan is fantastic too. I actually quite like Older Than Me and Especially True, but not much of a fan of Threw Me Out. |

From Marillion's forum:
We are in the final stages of planning the conventions for 2011 All I can tell you at the moment is this: The rough dates are late March and early April. One will be in Holland and one will be in Canada. Las Vegas has fallen through as it was going to cost a small fortune to host it sadly. We will hopefully put the website up with all details (www.marillionweekend.com) in ealy April 2010 with tickets going on sale early May 2010. Hope that helps! Lucy ===================================================== I guess part of me is disappointed that the North American weekend won't be in the States; however, with rumblings that it could be in Las Vegas, I'm glad (at least) it won't be there. Vegas just doesn't seem like a place I'd like to visit. Montreal would definitely be a cool. Sure did enjoy it last time. E |

Sounds very cool! Envious I don't get to go to this one. Rest assured, I plan to in a few years after I finish school though.

I would almost be tempted to attend the European convention. Really wish you could make it, Joel. Seriously, it was one of the most special weekends of my life.
I'm hoping they play Anoraknophobia in it's entirety to commemorate it's 10th anniversary. E |

Canada is out of the question for me, I'm afraid. Even if I could afford it, I'm afraid the length of the flight over would be enough to put me off.
I'm also slightly disappointed that the European date is in Holland. From a purely selfish point of view, I would love to go in Britain. Tell you what, though. Wouldn't it be great if one day, all of The Round Table could get together for a gig and a few drinks? |

Steve, I brought up the Holland convention to my wife this morning and she's actually interested. Evidently she has relatives over there and very open to making the trip. She's not a Marillion fan (and yet, I still remain married to her) and she would be miserable at the gig, so I'd fly solo to the actual shows. We're also considering bringing our daughter along. This is in the larval stages of course (and something tells me that I'll end up just going to the Montreal gig), but the fact that she seemed excited about Holland is a good sign. Besides, I've never been out of North America and would LOVE to see Europe.
Regardless, you really need to attend one. I can't quite explain it, but aside from the mindblowing concerts, the overall vibe of the people attending is very special. E |

Doing a little work at home and have Popular Music on the player right now. This live disc is absolutely sublime. Band were really on this night.

Unfortunately, the only live album I've gotten with H at the helm is Made Again, although I've been considering getting Marbles By The Sea lately.

I thought you got Anorak In The UK? Dude, you MUST get that one. Probably the best sounding live disc I've ever heard.
You definitely need to get Happiness Is Cologne, Popular Music (could be OOP by now, though), Family and Marbles By The Sea. All are excellent! E |

Anorak In The UK was lost by Australian post, so I got my money back from Australian Post but haven't gotten around to re-order it yet. I was going to get some more Marillion stuff for christmas, but I missed the ordering deadline so I haven't ordered any as of yet.
Also, do you know where I can get a copy of Marillion.Com? The site says its not available, and I haven't been able to find any on ebay for a decent price. |

Let me check my local record shop down in the city. They used to have a plethora of .com discs (it's where I got mine back in the day). If it's there, then I'll snag it for you. It won't be until Monday, though. E |

Its available as a download only now, but I'll still consider getting that one if the live performance is that good!

It's actually quite awesome, Joel. One of their best. I take it you don't have the DVD, either?

Unfortunately not. I was also going to sign up for The Web to get the Snow De Cologne DVD, but it slipped my mind and I unfortunately missed the offer deadline.

As far as the getting together is concerned I don't think my presence would enrich you grown-ups that much, seeing that my English isn't good enough for me to keep up with you (Dutch would be no problem at all) and your Marillion-experiences quite outweigh mine. ^^ It's a great idea, though Should be at a Weekend, I reckon, that'd be the best gig to get The Round Table together.

I probably wouldn't be able to make it next year, although I may have a gap year in 2012 after I finish school.
Regardless of when, I definitely plan to make it to one of these. The Round Table meeting up would be absolutely awesome though! |

I missed it too! I really whish I hadn't, but I didn't think it would be such a problem 'cause I thought I could buy it at marillion.com; turns out I can't buy the DVD but only the CD -_-' (Nothing wrong with the CD, of course, but compared to a DVD)
If you are willing to purchase any live h-Marillion, you should try and look for A View from the Balcony (which has got very nice versions of A Collection and A Legacy) or Something Fishy Going On (which has got a beautiful performance of After me!), though it'll be hard to find them. I miracoulessly found a CD just lying on the ground in the park (seriously!) with a very extended Marillion discography and all kinds of bootlegs from both the h-, and Fish-era! So that really was a lucky day for me.
Anyway, good luck purchasing h-Marillion live, as long as you don't buy Friends! (That's merely covers, etc. and though there are some nice ones it'd be a waste of your money, IMO)
