Dang! Cynic getting a new album out! I need to get it!
I just listened to the live version of "Evolutionary Sleeper", it deserves a clappy.

I'm listening to an advance copy of Gojira's newest and so far it's pretty good, but the music seems a little more accessible than their previous albums. |
I was kind of thinking this when I heard the new track on their myspace..

I don't know if its been discussed for addition or whatnot but I think Exotic Animal Petting Zoo's "I Have Made My Bed in Darkness" qualifies for this thread and it is good

Excellent,excellent,EXCELLENT album!
I cannot stop listening to it,they mishmash all different kinds of genres together and I have just been blown away by them.

I was blown away by the fact that they're a three piece the sound is so big, if that makes any sense

^It's easy to sound huge, regardless of whether you're a 3 or 5 piece, doesn't matter. All about putting some brains into the recording process really.

I know this, I listen to Devin Townsend, who is one man mind you still, definitely recommended for people who liked the quirkiness of parts of Colors, though it doesn't seem as technical

The new Cynic is beyond amazing. I will most definitely buy it when it is officially released.

Listening to it for the first time, seems a lot fluffier than focus, with a lot more clean vocals, and not as trippy. I need more listens.

I haven't heard Focus, but I did enjoyed the new one for sure. Vocals sound weird but I love them. In other matters...has anyone heard the new Human Abstract? Nocturne was amazing but this one SUCKS BIG TIME...worst 2008 album. It's a true disappointment. I really thought this band had great potential with NOCTURNE but I guess I was terribly wrong.
