The Giants are pathetic! When they don't get the turnovers for them, they can't win.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I think it's a terrific game so far. Wink Especially since I figured the Bungles were done if they didn't win today.

But yeah, the Giants look absolutely pathetic today. Their O-line can't protect worth sh*t, I don't know what Eli's doing anymore, and the turnovers are killing them. And to think our defense had only forced 10 turnovers going into today's game doesn't make it look any better for you guys.

Still though, I'd be happy the rest of the NFC East is a bunch of (self-)sabotaged nutcases. So I think the Giants should still scrape into the playoffs.

As someone who watches every game, I ask:
How was the line holding up at first?
How are they holding up since Diehl came in?

I know the O line works together, chemistry and all, so it sounds crazy but his coming back has sent the whole line to crap.
At half time they had a "Bengals pressure" reel and every single play I saw Diehl getting beat. That's a common denominator if I ever saw LOL

Anyway, Im not even mad, just disappointed. It was such and ugly and terrible game I just can only feel bleh.
Like I said a few games in: G men got major problems. This was long coming. We are literally 2 plays away from being on a 4 game skid. They gotta find some way to fix this!!

Which was of course kind of disgraceful, being up that big and going for a fake FG. If it was the Stillers or something I'd at least get it but the Raiders?? No need to run the score up on them/kick em while down.
But hey the Harbaugh bros are despised by most of the NFL so why not add on?LOL

Buffalo almost came back to beat the Pats but in the end: Fitzgerald sucks
N'arlins finally hands Atlanta a loss
The Jets are still a complete joke. It used to be funny but now it's just painful how woeful they are.

Well he took his starting job back in the pitt game, and was a fill in/jumbo package guy in the Dallas game (and I think the game before that). I mean it could be coincidence that once he returned the G-men turned to sh*t but wheres the fun in that. Wink

But yeah. Many many problems the giants have. I'm kind of glad the bye week is here. Esp since Nicks and Bradshaw still seem injured (though Bradshaw may have to add Diehl to that list...) We shall see if they can recover from yet another november slip...

I am fairly confident the Giants offense can return.
We still have Easy E, and we still have all the same weapons. Give em a bye to get healthy and settle.
Eli just needs to stop forcing it. He has always been prone to questionable throws but it does seem a lot of them are him trying to always make something happen ya know? He needs to go back to just throwing the ball away or taking a sack when needed.

The defense? pffft all we can do is prayLOL

Wow! Go Chiefs! Would be great if they can pull the upset but I won't feel confident in them until the clock hits 0.

Nah...the Chiefs can, (can) have a pretty damn stout defense. Add Byron Leftwhich and you have an upset alert!
I forgot that dude is mobile as a statue and has a wind up longer than a toy.

Kansas City really has put in a great defensive effort, but stupid mistakes and a woeful offense kept the Steelers in.
Otherwise they could've put Pittsburgh away.
Helluva final drive from Cassel though! Cmon Chiefs, I always love an upset.

Edit: Siiiigh, Matt Cassel still sucksCry

Tomlin has a way of getting his team completely unprepared to play against the dregs of the league.  They never seem ready to play these teams.  Managed to survive the game despite some pretty awful run defense, giving up a 4th and 15 with 22 seconds left to offense whose coordinator looks like that frat guy you knew in college only by the name "Moochie", and Byron's touch-the-ball-to-the-ground wind up.  Ben better be fine and his wife better squeeze out that kid on a weekday or we're screwed, even with the miserable Birdies defense on the horizon.  This should be the year to finally take it to the Birdies, too, with their defense falling apart and a competent offensive coordinator.

The irony that Haley's toned down offense designed to protect Ben...and he's injured.
Such is the NFL life.

I still say it was an almost impressive showing from the Chiefs. That D, at times, can be dominating, Charles is inconsistent but explosive and Cassel can almost be a QB!

On that original note, the NFL is officially converted. The Steelers were the epitome of old school, ground and pound, messy football behind a line of big slobs who can shove but not protect.
Now a pass first team with a safe mentality and a good pass blocking O line! http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2012/11/13/offensive-line-rankings-week-10-update/2/  Currently the 12th best but 25th in run block??

Well, you have to consider though that before last night the Steelers were on a pretty impressive roll with their running game and Haley's offense takes the pressure off pass blocking, by design.  The run blocking is better than I remember it being in several years, actually.
The problem now if that the Steelers have a backup, in Leftwich, that is completely incapable of throwing anything less than a 100 mph fastball and has the most ridiculously long windup in NFL history.  He's exactly what you don't want in this type of offense.  I'd rather them play 75 year old Charlie Batch.  His arm maxes out at about 10 yards, these days, so I know there's no risk of him breaking a recievers hands on a 5 yard crossing pattern.

Time always wins.

Just giving the cold hard stats. A snap by snap, every player analysis of how a few guys rate players blocking.
I apply what they say to real life with the Giants and they are pretty much spot on so I take their word as near gold.

Anywho, I feel bad pointing out that irony of Ben getting hurt in a safer offense now. I hear this rib injury is potentially deadly??? Well, I can't imagine him playing anytime soon, and hopefully its fixable.

No doubt, Leftwich is the worst QB ever for that style. You may be on to something about starting the broken down old timer!

We can still take solice in the fact we're not the Jets. 12 member of the team, players and staff, came out in a paper recently just shredding Tebow. Shredding him to bits. Mmmmmm I love this circusSmile
