I agree. The common folk are only good for grabbing torches and pitchforks and inciting riots in front of our manors. Angry

Robert, I just looked at the front page of PA.

Have you considered giving up on post-metal yet? TongueLOL

But as an addendum, there are a few artists that are the beacon of that genre- I just have not finished reviews of them because they are very good and take much time.

It's fine. Smile I am looking forward to seeing which artists in the genre you do not think are sh*t though.

Post-metal is great, although I'm yet to check out Isis. Or a lot of the other big artists in the genre.

sh*t, I've just found out that the job I'm currently doing a work placement in, is now available as a part-time job.

When I was taken on, I was told there was no job available after my placement finished... they have lied to me.

This means one of several things:

1. they want me notice there's a job available and apply for it
2. they think I am absolutely terrible at my job and hope I do not notice it
3. they will mention it to me Friday (I've been off sick for two days) and may advise me to apply for it
4. they don't care one iota about me and don't care about lying to me

Hmm.

I'm tempted.

However, I'm not exactly enjoying the job that much.  Maybe with more responsibility, things will be better.

I just get the feeling though that I'm completely useless at the job (not that I am incapable; I just have no real reason to want to be diligent at it) and they'd rather take on someone that isn't me or the next Work Placement guy.

Of course, that's not the attitude to have, of course.

Also, having just had two days off due to a cold (I did call in and my line manager said it was fine) doesn't look good.  Also turning up most days at 9:15 when I'm supposed to be there at 9:00 is also not good.  Not 'phoning people when I should, is also not good.  Making bad errors is also not good.

So in those terms, I do not feel that they want me.  Although I do seem to get on with the staff... although at the same time I don't.  It's hard to explain.

I have 'til Monday to apply for it and erm... I have a day off Monday, so that's not good.

I do have one advantage though: I know the system already having worked there for 3 months.  Although I am still learning new stuff.

I really am not sure though if this is a kick in the teeth or they want me to work there.  Do you think I should mention it on Friday when I'm back, or do you think I should just fill in the Application Form and not mention it?

The only ones I know are Bossk and Pelican.

Both are interesting for one album's worth of material.  Then they just sound the same afterwards.

I need to check out some Isis or Pelican, but if I'm not happy that may be it for me and postmetal for awhile, wasn't blown away by Kayo Dot but I get the feeling I'm missing something

damn Coltrane certainly has a lot of releases, could become an addiction for someone

Haven't heard Bossk. I do like Pelican though.

I can understand how some people would feel that way about post-metal, James.
