I wish Greg Anderson had a bigger part in it than he did though Disapprove Still the opener, the new version of Ephemeral, and Specks of light are blowing me away!

I've picked up Isis, If These Trees Could Talk, The Dear Hunter, Pelican, etc at Best Buy.

They sell more obscure prog, too :P When in the US I found The Sounds of Animals Fighting's album there... Target also had Dredg's newest (and it was 10 USD, on sale 1 DAY after the release :D... later it was again 15 dollars). :)

I saw Bring Me The Horizon last night. They honestly put on one of the best live shows I've seen. I see Between the Buried and Me tonight.

Really? I semi like count your blessing, but everything after that has been pure sh*t. I heard nothing but bad thing about BTBM shows, but thats from people who were biased, so tell us what you think.

After a good six or seven listens, I'm very very happy with the new Pelican. I love the opener, new version of Ephemeral, and especially the closer! The only song I'm having trouble with is The Creeper, and the drumming is super boring!

It's pretty good.  More refined and epic as far as the songwriting, but not as outright funny as the first one.  The highlights for me so far are "Murmaider II (Water God)" and "I Tamper With The Evidence at the Murder Site of Odin" LOL

... I'll report my infallible opinions on the new Pelican tomorrow when the Steelers aren't on and I can give it a good listen

f**king amazing. Musically everything was played perfectly. I was even able to hear the bass in the mix, which was probably more the venue than their doing though. Tommy had bronchitis, but still did great. He just deferred to the audience for the clean singing.

My only complaints are that their set was way too short and I had to sit through 3 Inches of Blood to see them.

Also, setlist was more than solid. They played Obfuscation which now has me doubly pumped for the new album.

Yep. And I met them. Totally awesome. I posted a whole review and stuff in the review section (for which my title was apparently not good enough).

What was your set? Mine was:

All Bodies
Selkies
Obfuscation
Foam Born A + B
White Walls

Damn I did not get to meet them. That certainly would have perfected the night.

Same setlist here. How majestic was the Selkies solo with the crowd going crazy? Not to mention White Walls, my penis has yet to go flaccid.

Yeah, I saw them loading their gear up backstage and taking it outside, so my friends and I went outside and found them. It was pretty great. Much more worthwhile than standing through In Flames, I say. I would expand more, but I already spent so much time typing it out in that other thread I made. I will say that they said they should be headlining a tour at the beginning of next year. I'm thrilled about that. I was so ready to go for another 45 minutes. The Selkies solo was incredibly majestic, but the greatest majesty was definitely the final minutes of White Walls. Insane. My penis is flaccid, but that's because, well, I blew my load. Not sure if the music did it entirely or because everyone in the crowd was squeezed tightly together and we were rubbing constantly. Could be a bit of both.
