Not to necessarily state the obvious, but please use emoticons (like I did above) to let me know how lighthearted you are actually being. I was trying to be civil myself and rather jocular as well. D'oh! another failed online communication attempt..... facepalm!

Hey, it's an OPINION. Not fact. hence, not debatable or worthy of taking offense over. I find Pelican boring and derivative. sue me. What's with the "outsider" comment? is that because I have NOT been duped by the musical atrocity that is Pelican?
|
like you said, its an opinion. but its offensive to come in and lambast a band like that dude, particularly when a lot of people here enjoy them. that being said i have seen pelican live and liked the show but im still underwhelmed by their output. they can write some great songs however. -

What did you think of The Jesus Lizard, then? |
Liars was choked full of errors and crazyness. basically the files did not work and ive been having trouble coming up with another copy. ill be sure to let you know when i actually listen to it

I don't particularly like Pelican either...I just choose not to complain about it and listen to something else.

The new Latitudes album is out, called "Agonist".
If you guys aren't familiar with this excellent instrumental post metal band I urge you to check them out.
They have one new track up on their Myspace page, but I got a promo of the whole album and it is extremely good.

I'm just on the first track now of Geneva and already I'm getting good vibes.
Edit: On my second listen now, I like it better than Station already and I might even like it more than Enter, but I need a little more time to decide.

I'm diggin it. Definately better than station, which had no energy in my opinion. I feel this ones a bit more experimental though, which I like!

I REALLY love that two hand tapping intro/riff of Malko, it just sucks me in. I'm definitely liking the direction the band has taken for this album.

Looks like its record shopping day tomorrow.
Oh, the album is not in the archives yet. I'll get it added when I get my hands on it, or even better if someone else does it.
