Fo' sho, don't they use 128 kb mp3. ( or even lower) Anyone remember the horror of "Real Media" when sampling music online back in the day?  *shudders*

I just got the album and am going to listen to it in it's entirety sometime today.I'm always willing to give a band a chance.Sometimes the tunes on Myspace don't do a groups music justice.

I see you already did that. Did you change your mind? Wink

By the way, have any of you heard Sagarmatha by The Appleseed Cast?

The latest DPRP CD reviews (http://www.dprp.net/reviews/200939.php) just came out.  They featured a band called Ahkmed (http://www.myspace.com/ahkmedband) that sounded interesting.  They are described as something of a cross between Hawkwind, Pink Floyd and Mogwai.

Check out the myspace site - they sound pretty good.

I havent, but I do have Peregrin and love it. Indie rock with some synthy post rock! Though some of the stuff was poppier than I like it, still a solid album in my books.

Harry we're about to be friends on facebook.

Anyone heard of a band called The Hylozoists? Their album Lille De Sept Villes is superb!

I'm quoting...

"The Hylozoists' latest release is a vocalist-free, orchestrated delight. Chock full of bountiful string arrangements and vibraphone melody lines, L'Īle De Sept Villes skillfully jumps from ambient-sounding distorted strings and bowed percussion instruments at the beginning of the CD to triumphant movie soundtrack-esque tracks and classy pop rock in the latter half, all the while maintaining a cohesive and coherent feel to the album."

The Myspace tracks are good, but you need to hear the whole from beginning to end to really appreciate it.

Checking it out now, sounds pretty excellent! I'll get the album when I have more time on the computer.

What do you guys think of The Oceans Aeolian? It's really hardcore influenced, but the more I listen to it, the crazier it becomes and the more I grow to love it. Songs like City in the Sea and Swoon are sheer audible power.

I love everything The Ocean Collective does.Their debut Fluxion is even more hardcore influenced than Aeolian.Precambrian is my favorite though, they simply get better with each subsequent album.
