indeed, that's how I write them now - 120-180 words, not more

i knew i recognized that. i almost bought it at a prosthetic records tent but picked up gojira's new(er) one instead because i had no idea what kind of music it was but the cover looked like it was a post metal band.

Never heard of them KW.
There are a ton of new PR bands now,it's hard to keep up with them all.
Here's a good one I found recently,a band called Sunlight Ascending.
They are post rock with some post metal elements, something I notice alot of newer bands doing. The lines are getting blurry between those two genres.

Eh, guys, have you checked out the Kayo Dot song 'Twins Eating Fer De Lance' on the 4-way split thing?
It's pretty intense! And weird.

i heard Have a Nice Life - Deathconciousness few moths ago, and it wasn't pleasent listen for me at all. album had some drones, electronic stuf , which drove me crazy .. in general it is post rock metal , but too much non standard elements included.. i found Sunlight Ascending recently, and it was nice post rock/metal, nothing spectacular..but it is worth checking out.. i have never heard of Floodline, in fact in recent weeks a rarely listen traditonal Prog metal, mostly Tech/Extreme ; Post metal are on my playlist .. and right now i'am listening Inquinok - Immortal Dawn, very good Symphonic Black Metal with slight prog influence

I've heard nothing but disgusting fanboyish praise for Have A Nice Life since Deathconciousness dropped, but I haven't actually checked it out yet.

You really have to hear Deathconsciousness in its entirety to fully appreciate it. Didn't do much to me after hearing random songs, but after listening to the whole album I really started to appreciate it. One of the best releases in 2008.

Sorry, didn't have the time to go through 240 pages, but have any of you heard Clint Mansell? Particularly his soundtrack to the movie The Fountain (in collaboration with Kronos Quartet & Mogwai). Pretty amazing stuff, imo.

I just got the album and am going to listen to it in it's entirety sometime today.I'm always willing to give a band a chance.Sometimes the tunes on Myspace don't do a groups music justice.
