^ Neil Peart wrote the lyrics, so it makes sense after all I normally don't pay attention to lyrics, even if they are good (I still don't know what Cygnus X-1 is about), so it's fine by me.

Hi there Samuel:)
How do you feel about that TD album? It's one of the rare 70s releases I've actually got on cd...but I'm not complaining, mostly because it also has both parts of Ultima Thule on it, which I absolutely love. Btw I checked out La Coscienza di Zeno live and you were right. So much better than the polished sophomore album. Melikey! I received quite a few new releases here the other day that reignited my faith in 2018. On top of that I seem to be waffling back and forth between jazz, old school prog rock, dream pop and post punk. Yesterday proves that: Calibro 35 - Decade (Such a brilliant jazz funk album!! Infectiously groovy and genuinely sounds like the production of say Head Hunters. 2018 release) Mildlife - Phase (Quirky and slightly kitsch prog rock meets the sultry vivaciousness of funk n disco. Somehow it works. 2018 release) Tropical f**k Storm - A Laughing Death In Meatspace (Post punky, art rocky tomfoolery that sounds exactky like the title suggests. Perfect shower music. 2018 release) Khruangbin - Con Todo El Mundo (Old school psych rock...but played softly and delicately? What?!?? Is this madness??!?? And why aren't there more bands out there doing something similar? 2018 release) Thy Catafalque - Geometria (Is it metal? Black metal? Prog rock? Electronic? Symphonic? Prog folk? Maybe all those things and then some. Ever since they released Meta I've been head over heels into this Hungarian band. 2018 release) The Soft Boys - Underwater Sunlight Major Parkinson - Blackbox The Pop Group - Y Coltrane - My Favourite Things Area - Caution Radiation Area Warm Digits - Wireless World Marvin Gaye - Troubleman Soundtrack (beautiful) |

I see Mildlife isn't included on PA yet.
Anyways I'm fairly certain Samuel and the byrd brother will love this thing. You guys were the first I thought of when I initially popped it in my stereo |

It is indeed very rudimentary. Sorta embryonic and proto...erm everything?!! I'm not sure but it certainly feels like that. Proto sounds from before there was man. Space music from the stone age or something to that effect. Still trippy as hell some what 45 years after? That is an achievement in itself.
I had no idea you knew Calibro 35. Kudos my good man! The new one is excellent and comes highly recommended. Junglefunkdrive and that production *insert drool*. Yesterday: Calibro 35 - Decade The War On Drugs - Lost In The Dream Napalm Death - Scum (blast from the past!) Todd Terje - It's Album Time The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Take It From The Man! Tusmřrke - Hinsides (Old school symph n psych prog made in a tavern for sailors) Yusef Lateef - Eastern Sounds Klaus Schulze - Silhouettes Janko Nilovic - Soul Impressions (Samuel: you'll love this) Wire - Pink Flag |
