This is beautiful!
Yeah, I'm otherwise not a ridiculous fan of Baroness, I mean songs like Isak are incredible, but sometimes and I cant help but think that they're a more chilled out early mastodon.
We'll see what the new album has to offer.

Wow, that all makes sense now. I bought this CD (this is the cover for it), "Deliver US" by Darkest Hour, sometime really early last year. It's the album all the hardcore, obsessed DH fans hated, but I loved it because it was a bit more progressive and challenging than their earlier stuff, plus has a cool post rock-y instrumental in the middle of the album, which I didn't expect at all when I first heard it, pretty cool stuff. And then I saw the art work for "Red Album" and I was just thinking "WTF, the style of art work reminds me SOO much of the most recent Darkest Hour album!" And this whole time, I had no idea it was because it was the same artist lmao. So that clears up a lot of confusion for me. All the art work covers posted thus so far are brilliant. Such a unique, vibrant style.

There´s not doubt he is one of my favorite album cover artists at the moment. Really beautiful style. I love the cover of the Baroness and Unpersons split.

Yeah, Baizley's MySpace is a place where I literally dwelt for some weeks) nice to hear news from both BARONESS and PELICAN! If someone would be a lucky one to get them, let us the mortals know!

Such epic whimsical beautiful indie-post rock. Craig B's vocals are excellent and heartfelt.

Definately, I'll be super sharp on it. Seeing though that I own every release Pelican has put out (except two vinyls) I do plan on buying the new album as well.
... I wont mind getting it early though.

I'm a big fan of the "A Story In White" album. the dynamic changes on that record are insane.
The music is still good on My Heart... but I don't dig it as much overall.

Seriously! They're really great.
I saw them a few months ago in a tiny little venue and they were amazing. I actually ended up talking to one of the guitarists while waiting in line for the bathroom (seriously there's one toilet in this entire venue), and he was really cool.

Aerogramme is pretty darn good; (although not super technical) their sound reminds me of how i wished Radiohead sounded after i read so much praise about them to only be left feeling super underwhelmed. I remember liking all their albums, but "My Heart Has A Wish You Would Not Go" is probably my fav.

Well... Thats cool and all, but I've talked with the lead singer of Wolves in the throne room, all the members of Pelican, Jeff Caxide from Isis, and one of the guitar players for Mouth of the architect

Definetly cool to see Baizley's amazing work getting love on prog archives! The new tattoo i'm getting is based on his work for the Pig Destroyer album. Awesome metal album by the way.

Sad to see they are no more.I have Vaalbara and it is an excellent post metal album.
I thought I added them to the archives but I just checked and found out I didn't. I have to remedy that.
