I'm loving the new Black Bonzo album Guillotine Drama.  It is "cutting edge" heavy prog from Sweden.  Those Swedes sure know how to make great music.  BTW, Happy Birthday Linus!

I really LOVED that one, growls and all.

Although I've grown more tolerant to that sort of thing, the growls on that album make it unlistenable.

Not at all, as I recall the album is overwhelmingly instrumental.    Or am I losing my mind?

It is mostly instrumental, the growls aren't my thing, but there are several long instrumental passages which shift between folky-acoustics and Doom riffs. Anyway, I usually just ignore the vocals untill the point where I don't really notice them anymore - which is what I did with Opeth.

Telling your 11 year old brother that because they didn't say PM at the end of the time they need to commit seppuku is fun.

I'm trying to get myself to become interested and motivated enough to really care about homework. Any useful tricks?

Don't play any Doom metal.

Have an energy drink/coffee/tea, then chuck on some music which gets you focused. Get in the zone.

Think about the crushing failure you will suffer if you don't. It didn't work for me, but it might for you.

What do you think of this? There are samples under tracks, I think it sounds pretty great. He also recorded an album with Derek Bailey and a harpist (!).

LOL, John Zorn is going to release an album every month in 2010.

I feel so much better now.

Also, those samples are nice.

I didn't find it on Last.fm, but I'm listening to it on LaLa.

Yay!  So, what did you think?  (Please tell me you liked it...)
