will not comment on the people who need to have their top artists displayed perfectly as though anyone cares.

Henry! It's been a while.

Mike! It is good to see you too. Have you landed an avant-garde short film gig yet? I don't like avant-garde cinema, but I assume it would be cool for you!

So this essay in my history textbook called Trapped: Lyndon Johnson and the Vietnam War, written by Larry L King (not the famous  anchor), wants me to believe that Lyndon Johnson, in an informal meeting directly after a cabinet meeting, dropped his pants, grabbed his dick and said "Has Ho Chi Minh got anything like that?" The sad thing is that if you Google it, this sh*t is apparently used at other schools too! I maybe could buy it if it were in a real textbook and not a collection of essays, but the whole thing is trying to paint LBJ as a lunatic, in the most sensationalistic, vulgar style possible for a book. I understand that Eng 111 at a community college is supposed to be for people who are stupid, but that's why you can test out of it. You can't test out of history!

MIKE DO NOT USE THE PHRASE BEING THAT! THE CORRECT WORD IS SINCE!

Princess Mononoke is a good movie, but my favorite by Miyazaki would have to be "Castle in the Sky"

I think I've enjoyed every Miyazaki movie I've seen.  The only one I thought was a bit below the others was Porko Rosso, and I still thought it was pretty good.

Miyazaki kicks ass. Nausicca is my favorite by far.

You'd be surprised to learn that I'm not too into avant-guard cinema Henry. I feel that cinema is better with a solid story. I was never a big fan of Felini's 8 1/2, although I do love Lynch's Eraserhead.

Have you seen Pierrot Le Fou?  It's probably one of my favorite unusual films.

Well I know you're not really an avant-garde person, but I thought all filmy people were into that stuff. I can't get into it because I cannot tolerate nonsense for the sake of it.

Some Monty Python is excellent, but at least half of it is very annoying. Violence is not in itself a joke.

That joke was funny the first time. Unfortunately, nerds lack creativity or self-awareness so it has been BEATEN INTO THE GOD DAMN GROUND!

I've been bursting into people's rooms on my floor tonight, yelling about how no one expects the Spanish Inquisition, then leaving.  It's entertaining.

IN OTHER NEWS:  June 10, 2010 is when the new season of Futurama will begin.  I will be ready and waiting.

Stonie, how long do you think we can keep talking about apples until an admin tells us to start a separate thread?

I could go on for a long time.

Most admins are in England. It's a week-day. Time may be short.

It did take them 2 or 3 days to move those Bjork and Polyphonic Spree threads out of Appreciation.
