That was a blind-buy CD I ordered a year or two ago, and I discovered I'd apparently ripped it for my Ipod and discovered it on there last night! It's essentially a very sparkly French instrumental jazz-fusion album from '78 with touches of orchestration, very nice stuff! There's several clips of it all over Youtube (sadly no `full album' though or I'd post it here now).

Oh man, I used to listen to that first Duran Duran album a lot years ago, quite keyboard heavy in parts if I recall? Sadly don't have it on either LP or CD. You should definitely look back into that `Tears for Fears `The Hurting' disc, that would probably be totally your thing now, mate.

How's that new Cosmic Ground? I'm going to order it in the next couple of days. Pretty sure Roach was a new one coming out as well this week (well, orders for it going up at least).Ground - IV

That seems nice. I'll look into it.

Yeah, mostly on side B. I got it on vinyl recently. I have that one on my list ;)

More concise and atmospheric than the last one. I already bought more records than I'd like to admit this weekend, so it will have to wait LOL

Oh, what did you buy?! Details, details!

I went on a serious bender of LP/CD's orders this last fortnight, it was insane. In between picking about eight Roach CD's and Robert Rich ones for a few dollars each from a local vendor, I've also got an order from Kozmik due in the next day or so of four psych/stoner LP's, got those two Doris Norton reissues on the way too, a rare Berlin School reissue, a CD of that Broselmachine album from the early 70's....just exhausting. I siply can't be trusted on my own!

So for a fortnight or two, I need to simply NOT. ORDER. ANYTHING.

See, this is why I never save enough to comfortably travel...

Sounds good, man, I kind of expected you would do the write up! Will look forward to it.

Listening to all that...well, I was also looking over my collection the other day, and it was staggering noticing the amount of discs I've got that I've never listened to...must by why it makes so much sense to, you know....ADD MORE to it!

Oh, and I forgot to include Aphrodite's Child's `666', a recent birthday gift from a friend, and that one's a freaking double!

Anyway those Jon Spencer Blues Explosion gigs were absolutely great ones, specially the last one in a small club, I think they´re played there over 2 hours!

About my listening habit I was unemployed in winter so got much time to listen music. Got wife and 2 kids, but they´re teenagers (not my wife), so didn´t need me as much as before. I listen also much same time when doing some homework. But at the moment in a full job, so naturally time listen music has lessen.

Well, I look back on that gig and it's a hugely memorable highlight for all the wrong reasons...for my mate that got injured and kicked in the plums, probably not so much!

All good, man, sounds like you still have many blessings in your life, so you just need to make sure your lessened time for music is comprised of only the very best albums!
Well, that´s not sure, still has interest to hear albums I´ve never heard.

Yesterday and today:
Motelli Skronkle: Koi
John Fogerty: Blue Moon Swamp
Soft Machine: Third

It amazes me sometimes that people here have so much free time on their hands that thev are able to listen to all of these albums..work,,,spend time with family and post.
I'm wondering how many are single ..unemployed..or still living at home..?

;)

have 2 satisfied girlfriends, working 35 hours/week, living with 3 male cats, posting what I'm watching on tv and what I'm eating and listening to at least 30 albums a week...and all this is very really easy, man.

Funkadelic - Maggot Brain
July - July
The Tea Company - Come and Have Some Tea with The Tea Company
Categories strain, crack and sometimes break, under their burden - step out of the space provided.

Have you already listened also Walls Have Ears? I prefer it to Smart Bar, although it´s of course not bad. And that Fleetwood-album is my big favourite of theirs!

My sis has most (all ?) their albums and E.P.’s so I’ve heard them often over the years. Also the DD spinoff band Arcadia, which features David Gilmour on a few tracks isn’t a bad listen.
