You're just afraid of the Big Scary Wombat Demon (that was the name!) devouring an innocent guy/girl.

I would like a Mona Lisa painting, but this time with a friendly smiling Robert Fripp.
I haven't seen him smiling anymore since the Giles, Giles & Fripp album.

He's laughing on the cover of The First Day . . . or is that a grin?

LOL, not me, but Robert!
Yes, that's a laugh if ever I saw one.
Okay, I now see how futile my request was.

Then why not do a Mona Lisa painting with a grimy Robert Fripp?

Well, you may if you feel like it. An artist should always follow his muse. Don't let me stop you! If Roberta Fripp is your muse, weaving you in a web of sweet frippertronics, then express yourself, Wombatti da Vinci! If not, any artist is entitled to a day off, I suppose ?

It certainly would take art to a next level. Okay, I'm with you. Vompatti, we have a nice little challenge for you

Despite the guitar it doesn't really look like him, but it doesn't look like Mona Lisa either, so I suppose it has a universal subject.

Wow! I'm flabbergasted, lost for words! I think we should call the Louvre in Paris and insist in taking away those boring overrated Da Vinci's from the walls and replace it with genuine Vompatti's! Dan Brown should write a book called The Vompatti Code. In other words: I'm impressed! It is Robert alright! there's some wildly maniacal, but also decisive in his eyes. He touches the guitar with the Alexander Technique which he obsessively teached in his Guitar Craft courses, I'm sure. I've forgotten all about old Mona. She's old news. I love the flying trees in the background and the moon... reminds me of moon child. There's a sense of mystery on it. It should have been nice as a cover of Islands. And all of this with a few lines... A round of and a handful of , maestro!

"She's a float tree, flying in the shadows, of the moonstars. She's a float tree, floating in the space of, Mona lisa."

Vompatti... I think we forgot about a major thing when letting you create this Frippalisa...
What if Fripp's going to sue you for using him in aone of your creations!? You didn't have his permission, right? He's going to take care of your creation like a plain bootleg!

Haven't you heard that all great portraits are representations of the artist?

This means, then, that we only see Fripp in it because we want to see him? And that what we actually see is a wombat in front of floating trees, moon and stars? Maybe on the original Court Of The Crimson King our perception was actually wrong as well. Maybe Greg Lake sang "wombat" instead of "moonchild".

I still don't get why you do Fripp but flatly refuse to do Winona. Couldn't you copy the school of painters who thought Christ was too divine to represent and just do her as a sunburst coming out of a cloud or something?
Or failing that, I'd like to see the BSWD sitting at home with his family tucking in to his Christmas dinner (whatever that might consist of).
On reflection, stuff Winona - I wanna see that Demon

I'm still not convinced it would be right if I painted a picture representing or even symbolizing Winona. But here's the BSWD Christmas dinner thing:
