Yeah, I can hear when the guitars seem to really muddy up, especially when palm palm muting and strumming. The drums seem a little undermixed as well.

Now that i'm thinking about it, i kinda feel horrible for making that comment considering how much i respect the band.

Mastodon: Great album! I think the vocal melodies are something else! Not as technical as blood mountain but still some amazing pieces. I think to come back with something like this after two rather similar sounding albums, is brilliant! Still I my mind is not blown!
Isis: Im a huge fan of panopticon and oceanic. Was disappointed with absence of truth, but it wasnt a bad album. Wavering Radiant's production is almost too good for Isis, Jeff Caxide's dreamy bass riffs is what got me into Isis, but I think he's riding that pony too often!

Bah! I forgot about that DVD. So much going on lately. But after doing a quick search on Amazon and ebay it seems that the DVD hasn't even been released yet.

Holy smokes! Isis & Pelican will be playing in less than an hours distance from me next month Damn, this and a SGM show all within a month of each other... I had kind of a bad experience while seeing Tool, (the only band i like that i've ever seen live) but i have a strange feeling SGM and Isis fans will express much better behavior.

Man, lucky b*****d, Isis and Pelican. I think Pelican haven't been to Australia since 2007, but I didn't end up going because at the time I had only heard one of their songs. And then a few months after they toured Australia, I got all their stuff, and realized how kickass they were, and wanted to shoot myself for not seeing them live.
