I collected baseball cards growing up.  A fair share of doubles made the bicycle spokes.  I still have them in the back of the closet.  Probably not worth all that much any more, but there might be a gem or two amongst them.  I wasn't around in the hey day of the Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays cards that would be worth a lot these days.  My dad swears that he had those kinds of cards, but his mom threw them away when they moved to Michigan.

I also tend to collect CDs.  Damn things multiply like rabbits however.

When I was young I tried to collect Pokemon cards. I still have a bunch of them. I have seen similar shows on TV today, and I admit, Pokemon was much cooler.

Pokemon cards were sold in croissants. I stole so much money, to buy so many croissants, I filled my grandma's couch with 30 of them, once I got sick of eating them, and I celebrated my birthday at school a whole week.

As anime, I liked Digimon more than Pokemon.

In fact, I couldn't stand watching Pokemon (as anime) for too long. On the other hand, in addition to the cards, I also completed the Pokedex in the Gameboy games (before I borrowed them to someone , who deleted what I saved; I called him an a****le, I regret that now).

They didn't throw it away.
