Maybe because this is the only site where people vote for what they believe and feel, not for what others believe is correct to vote for. Iván

Erm, for greats, how about Schoenberg (though born in the 19th Century), Carl Orff (though born 1895), and Stockhausen, Xenakis, Ligeti, Berio, Cage. And how about Coleman, Coltrane, Davis, Monk, Hancock, Evans etc. |

Love both artists, but Magma is an absolute addiction.

Thats because 99% of other sites have no clue who Magma is.

I watch that video every time you post it. For some reason, I like it. But I wouldn't call it prog. It's almost the same riff throughout. And it isn't better than "Peaches en Regalia." However, no vote from me. |

While you were watching it, I enjoyed Kansas with your mama. |

I voted for Zappa, but this comment is rather ridiculous. Just because he's influential that doesn't mean he's the best. I prefer his body of work, and that's why I voted for him. I don't really care what other people think my opinion "should" be. Hell, Britney Spears is more influential than any modern prog band. Are we going to say that she's better than The Flower Kings or Spock's Beard? |

Last time I checked, Zappa was pretty sweet with the Shred Room. |
