Gaston:
Don't bother with the IP identifier: I'm the one who voted for Final Cut. Why? Simply to get your goat, old chap...
Actually, I probably play Animals and WYWH more than any others, but, being perfectly honest, Final Cut comes third for frequency of listening. Then AHM, UG and Meddle.
Peace.

Best albums
1) Animals . This has to be the most impressive transition for Pink Floyd with its dark Water's lyrics, power gilmour guitaring, and phsycedelic melody
2) Wall. Close contender to Animals. A great collaboration.
3) Dark Side of the moon. The best selling Pink Floyd album
4) Wish you were here. It rocks.

What a great band ... I can't believe Meddle is not even in my top half of studio albums!
A Saucerful Of Secrets takes the prize for me ... maybe for the pure sentimentality of having all 5 members contribute ... but it's also got my favourite Waters (Set The Controls) and Wright (Remember A Day) songs ... sigh

My favourites include:
Wish You Were Here: A Prog Classic, Loads of Spacey Synthesizers, Excellent Guitaring and Great Lyrics.
Dark Side of the Moon: One of their biggest selling Album, Great Songs, Ahead of it's Time.
Animals: Great Songs, Excellent Guitaring, Songs you can Jam along too (especially Sheep).
Meddle: Bluesy Throughout, Echoes is a Epic prog masterpiece, The last album not to feature Synthesizers as the first is Obsurred by Clouds.
Piper/Saucerful of Secrets: Both albums Pioneers of Prog Music (in my opinion), Great catchy tunes, lots of experimentation, both have some humourous tracks (Coporal Clegg, The Gnome and Bike).
I like the other album but the ones mentioned above are my Favourites.

So hard to tell between Piper and Wish You Were Here. The first one is unique, the latter is just immaculate. But let's say Wish is it.

Animals is the best - Wish You Were Here my favourite
although i also like Obscured By Clouds. possibly because of the great input by Wright which i miss on some later albums.

Wish You Were Here is great but needs some editing. Shine On You Crazy Diamond bores the hell outta me. Too Spacy. Animals is a much better album in my opinion, along with DSOTM and Meddle.

I love Dogs it's one of my favorite tracks of all times! So I'll have
to go with the amazing and magical ANIMALS, though DSOTM is also great,
comes in close second, if it wasn't for the boring track ON
THE RUN...

'Wish You Were Here' is their best on pretty much every level to me- it is a truly superb experience. However, I am also very fond of 'Meddle', 'Obscured By Clouds', 'DSOTM' and 'Animals', plus the Syd Barrett stuff I am very enamoured of too.

IMHO:
Wish You Were Here
Meddle
Animals
Atom Heart Mother
Dark Side(Too much pop influence)
Ummaguma/saucerful(hard to pick one)
Piper
More
Wall(Way too heavy and too much disco for PF)
Obscured by clouds
Final Cut

Meddle.
You could even remove all the songs but Echoes and it still be the best. (IMHO)

Very Tough decision. I voted for Animals. But, WYWH, The Wall, Meddle, DSOTM all come close. And The Final Cut isnt that bad of an album.

I'm with GDUB regarding relics, my first PF record ever (I was 9) but as an official album I choose Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, like Saucer as well, took me some listenings tu fully apreciate it though.
