What is the problem with the KC one? It's not all that well-written and does meander onto other topics somewhat, but I hardly see that as a candidate for deletion.

I think if you are offended, your dog is offended, don't agree with it, you parakeet doesn't agree with it or see some innacuracies in a review rather than howl and yowl about it send a PM to Max or maani and let them take care of it. And I agree with Mr. Goose that there is really nothing wrong with the KC review. If the guy hadn't submitted those The Mars Volta reviews nobody would have said anything about the Power To Believe review.

There were different origins of this name. It obviously is a mix between Gentle Giant and a great singer Ronnie James Dio, who is far from being a giant.

I would also like to apologize for creating this topic in the first place. You see, I am new on this site and in progressive music in general, and yet I create a thread, claiming that certain reviewers have to be shot, while I haven't contributed anything to this wonderful informative site.

I don't want to sound like a complete arse, so I shall just add that most of you guys are doing a great job reviewing albums and highlighting your honest opinion. I was introduced to the joys of Prog music through early Genesis and WYWH/Animal era of Pink Floyd, and I just keep discovering great new and old bands, thanks to you. I even know some bands my dad never heard(Gentle Giant, Camel, etc.).

EDIT: I apologize for my poor English and possible grammar mistakes. I am only 17 years old and still learning English as a third language.

It was just a joke Gentle Ronnie.   I agree with you. Those reviews were lousy and shouldn't be on this site. By the way, Welcome!

You're kidding, right? If not, then wow. English was Joseph Conrad's third language too, BTW.

This "poor" english @ age 17 no less... impressive... MOST impressive!

Still, creating this topic in general is nothing to apologise for methinks. Some reviews can easily turn into rants or become offensive in some way, sometimes even unintended. Threads like these can remind anyone who wants to review on the importance of staying correct.

I agree, and I feel a little guilty for including it in my cut-and-paste (someone tell me that wasn't the only reason). But I tried to make the distinction at the time I posted...

I believe I've adressed those 2 zero rating reviews of frances the mute that are quite unreasonable on the mars volta thread.

I hate those reviews so much.

If I really was the Secert Review Police, the power would almost immediately go to my head and every non-five star Talk Talk review would be summarily executed.

I'm only sub-human.

Even Peter the Great has a typo now and then.

I've written my share of bad reviews, I think everyone has to write a few bad ones before they can write good (or atleast half decent) ones.  But I never understood how people think they will persuade someone else on an album by simply writing crap.

I agree with the goose.  The site loses integrity if that review is deleted.  What is it that he says that makes it worth deletion???
