Says the person with a Blackwater Park avatar.

Anyways, CTTE is clearly far superior to Foxtrot. It`s my personaly favourite of all time... I'm sure quite a few would agree.

YOU CERTAINLY MAY BE..WHAT A FANTASTIC ALBUM 'CTTE' IS

So which Yes album do you prefer??

Relayer and Fragile are my two favorites, but I'd also rank The Yes Album, Going For the One and The Ladder above CTTE.  It's not that it's a bad album, it's more that the title track kinda loses its focus and gets really boring after awhile.  And since that's half the album, it kinda brings it down for me.  So yeah, Foxtrot is better.

Nice one Abbath, how long did it take you to think up that genius zinger?  I'm in awe of your wit and intellect.

I also prefer Relayer to CTTE, but the latter has greater historical (and personal) sigtnificance, so it'll always be #1 for me. As for the title track "losing focus"... I would have said it's one of the most brilliantly arranged epics of all time!

The collaborators top 20' seems to be nothing more than a fansite 'click-as-many-times-as-possible-and-win' kind of thing. Seriously, everytime I see another band high, the next day suddenly genesis is back. Gee, I wonder why...

Honestly, CTTE and Foxtrot are both nice prog examples, but not the best. I would rate albums like Godbluff and Fragile and Larks' Tongues above those two anyday. And really, something from Gentle Giant should be at one. No band rivals their musicianship, originality and spontaneity.
Epic.

There's no conspiracy or anything untoward about the Collaborators' Top 20. "Foxtrot" moved (back) up to the no. 1 position after I added my (5-star) review of the album yesterday. Simple as that. If it's at the no. 1 position it just means that the sum of all the Collaborators' ratings for that album is greater than the sum of their ratings for any other individual album in the Archives. Currently, based on all the reviews posted by Collaborators to date, it's the Collaborators' most popular album. No doubt "Thick As A Brick" will move up a position or two when I get around to adding my 5-star review of that one!

If you think musicianship, originality and spontaneity are things that are established by opinions of them....
Epic.
