Hate is not relevant feeling when talking about music or any other art IMO.
It eludes me how can anyone develop Hate (extremely strong feeling) towards any album. Are you being forced to listen to it during long time non-stop or what?
If I actively dislike any album I get rid of it and do not return to it anymore, so I do not have enough time to breed Hate towards it.

I usually don't "hate" albums. I might hate having to listen to them, but not the albums or musicians.

These comments almost (almost) make me want to go out and find this album to listen to.  The kind of "accident on the side of the road" thing.  So awful, but you have to look.

>>Then, there's Love Beach. I reviewed this album on the main site, where I unleashed my venom on this album (look for 1800iareyay's review if interested). However, once I submitted the review, I discovered that I wanted to say more, which is part of the reason I sarted this poll. Love Beach is wrist-cuttingly bad. The pathetic lyrics, beyond subpar instrumentality, and commercial gloss shook my faith deeply in ELP, and prog since, at the time, ELP was the only prog band I had listened to. Thankfully, Yes swooped in a saved me soon after. After I began to appreciate prog, I thought my then-15 year old brain couldn't grasp the deep levels that surely must have been present on LB. So I listened to it again. About halfway through the seeming epic Officer and a Gentleman, I took out my trusty Boy Scout pocketknife, opened it, and plunged it into my thigh. I did this to distract myself from the pain. Love Beach, IMO, a stain on progressive music and, to me, is to prog as "Glitter" or "Showgirls" is to cinema. Nothing about that album is good, nothing. It will always get my vote not only as the worst album of prog, but my personal choice for the worst album of all time.<<

Adrian Belew's voice bugs me.
The world keeps spinning, people keep sinning
And all the rest is just bullsh*t

Well though I'm not a massive fan of 80s Crimson (haven't heard it in years though), that shouldn't belong here. The same goes for ATTWT. These eras are not bad- I love ATTWT and to an extent Duke- especially when compared to the other rubbish here.

On a purely hype basis alone, it has to be Octavarium. I simply could not believe when I heard it that this AOR album (with the exception of the title track) was being called one of the greatest albums ever made. It's not.
If you bought the others expecting something good, I'd have read a few reviews first. They are as abominable as their reputation suggests.

Congradulations.

So I take it that you hate Transatlantic as well.
One likes to believe
In the freedom of music
But glittering prizes
And endless Compromises
Shatter the illusion
Of integrity

Ive still never heard Love Beach. Doesn't like I'm missing much.

I cant say I really hate any of the albums listed` - that 've heard - but I have an intense dislike for Invisible Touch; more for what it represents than the music itself.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Nope, Transatlantic has no relation to Dream Theater in terms of sound. I wouldn't like their album anywhere near as much.
