Oddly enough, I just listened to "Fish Rising" the other day; it's been years..... Anyway, I thought it could certainly use some remastering; has that sound that a lot of CD's released in the 80's have; too much upper-midrange/treble, giving it a kind of tinny sound (of course, the album has an overall dense sound, with lots of multi-tracked rich sounds). The very high frequencies need to be emphasized, along with the lowest frequencies. Still, the original recording may be the true culprit here: like some of Todd Rundgren's albums in the early to mid-70's, just too much overdubbing, too many effects on instruments, which leaves things muddy in the end.
