He played PF standards almost perfect (the second vocalist was slightly different from Gilmour and that was all that disturbed me at the moment, nothing more). So, the conclusion is: Waters is Mr Pink Floyd! Even if he made a tour with Mason only (or a solo tour again) I would go on a concert.

Yes I think Floyd without Waters was a different band. I saw Pink Floyd in Australia in '88 and I was dissapointed. Also they had some other drummer & guitarist on stage with them doing some key parts. It was like a 7 man band.Confused

I saw a Waters concert a few years ago (the In the Flesh Tour) and my opinion is completely opposite.

Also, If like me, you are lucky enough to attent a Gimour concert with Rick Wright you will see who Floyd really is.

Roger has a unique talent for songwriting and a very good stage presence, but he is still a miserable git.

I think Floyd without Waters is not Floyd anymore. The two albums they made since he left are pleasant, but lack the brooding intensity that Roger's contribution brought to the band's output. He may be a miserable git, but he's one of the greatest songwriters in the history of rock.

I never said otherwise. Although I really feel AMLOR is the best Floyd album since Animals, and far better that than Waters solo albums that I've heard (although I must confess I never heard Amused to Death, which everyone tells me I should).

Dammit, first Gilmour wants Waters back in the 90's but Waters refuses, now Waters wants Gilmour in the band, but Gilmour refuses.  Frustrating.
