ARTHUR:
Well, I am King!
DENNIS:
Oh, King, eh, very nice. And how d'you get that, eh? By exploiting the workers! By 'anging on to outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic and social differences in our society. If there's ever going to be any progress with the--
WOMAN:
Dennis, there's some lovely filth down here. Oh! How d'you do?
ARTHUR:
How do you do, good lady? I am Arthur, King of the Britons. Who's castle is that?
WOMAN:
King of the who?
ARTHUR:
The Britons.
WOMAN:
Who are the Britons?

ARTHUR:
Well, we all are. We are all Britons, and I am your king.
WOMAN:
I didn't know we had a king. I thought we were an autonomous collective.
DENNIS:
You're fooling yourself. We're living in a dictatorship: a self-perpetuating autocracy in which the working classes--
WOMAN:
Oh, there you go bringing class into it again.
DENNIS:
That's what it's all about. If only people would hear of--
ARTHUR:
Please! Please, good people. I am in haste. Who lives in that castle?
WOMAN:
No one lives there.
ARTHUR:
Then who is your lord?
WOMAN:
We don't have a lord.
ARTHUR:
What?
DENNIS:
I told you. We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week,...
ARTHUR:
Yes.
DENNIS:
...but all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting...

ARTHUR:
Yes, I see.
DENNIS:
...by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs,...
ARTHUR:
Be quiet!
DENNIS:
...but by a two-thirds majority in the case of more major--
ARTHUR:
Be quiet! I order you to be quiet!

WOMAN:
Order, eh? Who does he think he is? Heh.
ARTHUR:
I am your king!
WOMAN:
Well, I didn't vote for you.
ARTHUR:
You don't vote for kings.
WOMAN:
Well, how did you become King, then?
ARTHUR:
The Lady of the Lake,...
[angels sing]
...her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water signifying by Divine Providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur.
[singing stops]
That is why I am your king!
DENNIS:
Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
ARTHUR:
Be quiet!
DENNIS:
Well, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!
ARTHUR:
Shut up!
DENNIS:
I mean, if I went 'round saying I was an emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
ARTHUR:
Shut up, will you? Shut up!
DENNIS:
Ah, now we see the violence inherent in the system.
ARTHUR:
Shut up!
DENNIS:
Oh! Come and see the violence inherent in the system! Help! Help! I'm being repressed!
ARTHUR:
Bloody peasant!

DENNIS:
Oh, what a give-away. Did you hear that? Did you hear that, eh? That's what I'm on about. Did you see him repressing me? You saw it, didn't you?

Yes, I understand the Peart tragedies... but he himself wasn't physically impaired.  And yet Carl Palmer, who went thru carpal tunnel surgery on both his arms.. and told he probably wouldn't play as well again... came back and kicked everyone's butt...

He's really an alien I think.  He has the quickest sticks in the world... and he still at 54, never tires.  Of course the fact that he's naturally hyper active and a coffee addiction on top of that... makes one hell of an interesting percussionist.  Also, he can play any percussive instrument, watching him play the glockenspiel, tymps or even the xylophone, is always a spiritual moment for me.  And if any of you in Britain get a chance to attend one of his drum clinics.. you really should go. It was the most thrilling thing I've seen, including his band concerts or Keiths for that matter...

And E-Boy... as far as telling my folks to sell my drums... yes I did do that. But there was other reasons involved as well, none concerning money.

And I have a million pictures of Carl and those drums....this is last year in Lochgelly, Scotland...

Wow, I didn't know about Carl's problems but I'm glad he's back on the live circuit again. As for the photo's, they're great...always happy to see piccy's of Mr P

As for VelvetClown....That is a fantastic scene

Yeah...I could have an opinion on English cuisine but it doesn't mean squat since I know sh#t when it comes to English culinary delights.

I like Neil Peart a lot.His bass drum work is far superior to anyone in prog rock bar maybe Bill Bruford. He's also well up there on the snare although Carl Palmer is maybe the king in this respect.

Why do we always show so much reverence to old drummers? I saw Zoltan Csorz (Flower Kings ,The Tangent) at Chippenham progfest recently and he would blow most of the 'oldies' off the stage now.But if you're talking Carl Palmer circa 1973 now that's a different story...

Pissy Missy Sissydefinitely not!

Proctological Mining Solution I prefer oral

Problem Mouthing Something never!!I even suggested to a girl "friend" of mine the breathing excorsizes one needs to do so one doesn't choke on it when one deep throats it. Its all about knowing when to take breaths and when not.

Pornographic Muffin Suspect Not sure what you're refering to. Child pornography? I agree with you if that is the case!!

Piddling Middle-aged Schlong It works well for an old fart like me. Not as well as it did in my 20's I must admit.

Problematic Manhood Supply   Huh?

I know you think that Richard cause you saw Carl's band in May... but you haven't seen him do anything till you see one of his clinics.  I saw Rush a few months ago.. and Carl could of whipped NP with one hand behind his back.  He continues to have a competitive streak that puts everyone else on the floor... Ask Danny Carey from Tool... he wouldn't even go out and play with him on stage.. he stood behind Carl watching with his mouth to the ground...
