Favorite band of all time. Brilliant, and I see why others don't like them, but to me a band can't get any better.
Links to musical projects coming soon!!!

Pain of Salvation is to other prog metal bands what ABACAB is to Selling England... If you know what I mean...

Edit: I meant "...what Selling England is to ABACAB"... Now it makes more sense...

Exactly what I thought!

I'm not very keen for Prog-Metal, I used to like Dream Theater but I quit listening to them when they released that piece of Metallica-and-Pantera-like crap "Train Of Thought". Then one my friend told me "Try Pain Of Salvation, they don't sound like Dream Theater". So I got their "The Perfect Element" album and fell in love with this band. Then I've gotten all their albums and they all are exceptional. I like their sound, sometimes reminding me Alice Of Chains or Faith No More but the compositions are very strong and Gildenlow's voice is very beautiful. I thought "The Perfect Element" is a hard to beat album but then I bought "BE" and I said "WOOOWWW!!!". Probably one of the best albums ever. Some time ago I discovered THRESHOLD and I'm fascinated by their music, so I found Dream Theater is no longer interesting for me. Thank PoS and Threshold for opening my eyes

Great band, but Gildenlow's vocal delivery can be just as annoying as LaBrie's.

I think that's really one of the defining lines whether you like PoS or not, my biggest brother got me into them in sixth grade, and when my second oldest brother heard them he liked the music but hated Daniel Gildenlow's voice. What does he know anyway's he still listens to Eminem. Heh.

Yes, Eminem is a very good singer. I also like Sean Paul's beautiful voice

OK then, I guess we have completely different ears. That's good... Anyway, on a second thought, our ears cannot be that completely different, since we both are annoyed by LaBrie

What exactly are you defining?  If people like good music?  Or I guess in this case "good" music.

Yeah! Well let's say one of the best.
