I can see a plan coming together here, chaps. A prog club in every region of the country, then once a year we hold a prog AGM where all who can attend from every region meet up in a pre-arranged location, discuss music for an hour or so then spend the rest of the weekend drinking the town dry!!
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Chopper; It would be great to meet up with you anytime. Chris, Andy and I have talked about getting together over a curry sometime in the near future and if you can make it, it's always gonna be better with you than without you.

This potential prog curry in the new year is as ever, open to all who wish to join us.

Simon, a prog curry would be great. I know a good place in Lower Thames Street opposite Billingsgate which is not usually too crowded during the week. There's also a pub next door, which is handy. Look forward to it.

Sound's like an ideal location Chopper. Anyone have any objections/problems?

As for regional Prog Clubs, we must remember the first rule of Prog Club...

^ No objection to location. I'd need some directions though.

As my sister insists on turning 40 this weekend   (like she couldn't put it off....) I won't be along for the IQ gig, though I'll be there in spirit.

As for the suggested venue for the prog curry, fine by me - I can reach most locations in central London within an hour or so of finishing work. It may be best to leave it till the new year now, I'm pretty busy for the next few weeks, as I suppose most of us will be.

Now, I want you to play a 20 minute moog solo as hard as you can, right in my face...

Are you sure we need a whole hour for the discussion?

No probs Sleeper, we'll see you soon I hope.

Syzygy - The new year sounds like the best bet for Prog Curry in my book too. Let us arrange something closer to the time.

The words "curry" and "prog" in the same sentence...wow...is this a dream? Add "beer" and it's a perfect combination! Sounds a great idea for New Year. Count me in!

"beer" and "curry" always go together (there's a pub next to the restaurant). And for added perfection, there's a lap dancing club nearby.

btw - I like ELP, so there.

Look, I have to get a pass out for the evening, for which I might get away with "curry" as a reason and I might even get away with "beer" but there is absolutely no way I would be allowed out if I put down  " ELP" (sorry I meant "lap dancing")

Don't worry - the lap dancing club is very expensive (so I've heard). You could buy a couple of CDs for the price of a beer and a dance (apparently).

Nowhere near as expensive as hiring an orchestra to go on tour with you.

Classical lap dancing, now there's a new thought...
