^ I'm sort of surprised that Hellebore-album doesn't get more love from the avant camp here. For me it it's one of the greats. 1986:

a-ha - Scoundrel Days ( Scoundrel Days)
Talk Talk - Happiness is Easy (The Colour of Spring)
Wendy Carlos -  Poem for Bali (Beauty in the Beast)
Metallica - Orion (Master of Puppets)
Slayer - Angel of Death (Reign in Blood)
Kraftwerk - The Telephone Call (Electric Cafe)
Shub-Niggurath - Yog Sothoth (Les Morts Vont Vite)
A Priori  - Σε μια θάλασσα λαστχένιο (A Priori)
Claire Hamill - Sleep (Voices)
Amsterdam String Trio - Een Kennis Vind Ik Niks (Dodekakania)

1987 - I wouldn't trust my favorite track selection (nor album really). It was almost impossible today and might have been differnt yesterday - or tomorrow:

Dead Can Dance - Persophone (The Gathering Of Flowers) (Within the Realm of a Dying Sun)
Swans - In My Garden (Children of God)
Azanyah - I Will Surely Come Again (The One)
Roberto Laneri - Nyx (Anadyomene)
The Sisters of Mercy - Lucretia My Reflection (Floodland)
The Cure - How Beautiful You Are (Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me)
Danielle Dax - Brimstone In A Barren Land (Inky Bloaters)
Depeche Mode - Strangelove (Music for the Masses)
Penguin Cafe Orchestra - Perpetuum Mobile (Signs of Life)
Eric B. & Rakim - Paid In Full (Paid In Full)

^ Loving your lists, and while we share various albums, and more than one "snap" (same choice of track), there's a fair amount for me to explore in your lists.

Thanks all.

Thanks! Maybe for the metal stuff you'd need to been into it as a kid/teen to appreciate it like I do, but all of the albums chosen here are still listened to - and treasured by me.
