I remember that, but I just meant "on holiday".

I got that, but I wanted to mention it in case there was any confusion. I doubt he would be tripping in any way at this time, and hope he is okay. While I can't easily imagine he's traveled on holiday (given his age and the pandemic), hopefully he is just taking a holiday from the site, or doesn't have access to the internet.

I was referring to this, as well:

Paul is someone I really liked and appreciated at this site, and despite whatever differences we ever seemed to have, he was kind enough to share his appreciation for me. I'm very worried about him, and if he see this, I hope he reports back immediately. I care about him very much.

These are scary times and every practical consideration should be shown to anyway that's AWOL right now.

^ Agree. I lost a close family friend to COVID 19 very recently.

I wish we had a better system for staying in touch with each other, and checking up on each other. Partially as a support group, cause we all go through hard times and face and deal with tragedy.

On a related note: This site might go down, if then, how hard would it be for the community to re-connect? At a forum I was on before joining this one, we had a really close-knit community, the site went down and we all mostly lost touch. Its sad to think how many members we must have lost during my time here, not because they lost interest, but because they died. of course that's inevitable, and these are particularly worrying times. Losing Anotoine (Febus) was the worst thing that happened to many of us. It hit me really hard, I had been PMing with him shortly before his operation, and everybody that knew him here loved him. but I'm glad that we had the chance to pay our respects and that he is remembered. He told me, life is too short, make the most of it. He was scared, but he kept such a positive attitude, and was always warm and considerate of others, and there to listen. He cared about others, and others cared about him.

^ Omg, I'm sorry to hear that. So much sorrow in the world right now, it's hard to take at times.

^ Thank you. I think a lot of us are trying our best to stay positive, and distract ourselves because dwelling on it would make one crazy. We all need to do our best, and try to be extra responsible in these troubling times. It does make one think more about what's really important in life.

EDIT: The added stress people are under is something to consider as we forum together (a lot of people are suffering and going through dark days). Keep as safe as possible and try to keep as sane as possible.

I apologise for the upset caused by attempt at levity, which was clearly misjudged.

And Greg, I'm very sorry for your loss.

^ Thanks Nickie and Simon, as well as Steve before. I wasn't upset by your levity, we need levity in troubling times. We need humour to keep the spirits up, can help us to stay a little more sane, and your comment didn't strike me as insensitive, and it was witty. I wouldn't like this forum nearly so much without your wit. Because it came up earlier with Mike's comment, but I decided not to follow-up on it at the time, I wanted to point out, for any who might not know, that Paul has specified that he doesn't do such stuff, and it just has something to do with his music tastes. I love psychedelic music, but it's been a very long time since I last tripped the light fantastic.

Sorry for your loss Logan/Greg...

Regarding Psychedelic Paul...I enjoyed his psych blog and even suggested a list to him that he enjoyed...I sure hope he's ok.

I'm glad no harm was done; you're one of the kindest of souls, and I certainly wouldn't want to cause you any hurt. Or anyone else either, for that matter.

These days I also prefer psychedelic music (by which I mean, music that can change my state of consciousness and perception without chemical help, rather than just the genre) to the other kind of psychedelics.

Remember he wasn't trolling.. he was rock n rolling. - I didn't make that one up, those are his own words. And I don't know who else noticed but my man had some... I'll just call them 'fans' on here.

Yeah he wasn't on here long, but no denying he made an impact. I loved/love his energy. I hope to see him back some day but if not, that's life sometimes.

So sorry for your loss, Logan. These are not wonderful times :(

I messaged Paul to see how he is.

Hopefully he'll respond.

I told him to drop by and say hi.

Still nothing? Does anybody know where he lives? Can we use FaceBook to find someone to check on him? This is really disheartening!

Let's not catastrophize (looks like that's not an actual word but it is certainly something I tend to do!).  I'm not saying it isn't of note that he has been absent after being so involved, but there could be more reasons why he's ok than not ok.

^ yeah, everybody should just calm down. There are many reasons he may not have time to chime in on music sites. Could be family problems, health problems, etc. Let's just focus on the best possible outcome for him no matter what's going on.

I wouldn't say that anybody in this topic, let alone everybody here, needs to calm down. Various people are, I think, understandably concerned, but people appear rational to me -- well, as rational as usual. (j/k). I sometimes think "Expect the worst; hope for the best", but that has to do with not being disappointed, and this is a different sort of case for me.

Yeah, just when people start wearing their hearts on their sleeves, some kill joy tells them to stuff it back into their pockets.
