I'm really in love with their album. It was free to download on their website, but since I don't speak Russian I'm not sure if it still is.

Great feel to the ablum, very Agalloch like in atmosphere and general aesthetics really except with a doomier feel as you noted and less post going on. I particularly love the lead guitar lines. They have a new album coming out this year can't wait.

You got one hereBig smile. I was the one who suggested them some time ago.Embarrassed Very nice band.

They're from South Africa as well, you rarely seem to get bands like that from there, so that's really awesome.

Now thats a high quality doom band, and one of the first to get some kind of exposure in this thread! Really really aesthetically pleasing like you said, and hold wondeful woodsy atmosphere!

Yes, they are definitely making post rock now. i'am not familiar with their previous work, but in this one with i can  see some shoegaze/post punk moments,  vocals here and there, and that combination sounds good to me, it's ok. Not essential album but , it does the purpose

I have one, The Appleseed Cast Two Conversations...and it does have some post rock elements...and have heard very little of Peregrine(which sounded so like indie rock or something) but I dunno of the rest of the discography...hence the reason why I never suggested it to my team.Confused

^I'm familiar with their stuff from End of the Ring Wars-Two Conversations. I was sort of into that stuff for a while. Their early stuff was a raw indie rock/emo, but they did start to evolve on Two Conversations. I'll check that new stuff out sometime.

I don't think the term emo is as bad as MTV made it look...there are still some bands that are labeled as such...like The Appleseed Cast, Moving Mountains, Weaver at The Loom(all of which mix emo stuff with post rock) just to name a few and they all sound good.
