Another update:
Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -4.25 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.49
Growing more liberal by the day it seems. Hopefully it won't turn around like it did with Nets.
I do have a strong desire to get rich off manipulating money and contributing nothing to society, though.
It's funny, because I love capitalism and hate communism, I just don't like how some (most?) corporations rape nature and smaller countries to get ahead.....
....Damn I've been listening to a lot of Pain of Salvation lately.

Libertarian does not mean liberal. this is a typiucal US misunderstanding.

"Liberal" as we know it in the States is a bit of a misnomer. Many of the new left-wing thinkers and leaders have begun to use the term " progressive"—a much more fitting term, I'd like to say! Of course, a change necessary after the conservative think tanks effectively soiled the meaning of "liberal" in American identity politics. Now about my score: Chris' political compass
Economic Left/Right: -7.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.23

Wooooo! Not so suprised about the social score, but the extremeness of the economic score is a little noteworthy, given my affinity towards pragmatism. I guess my idealistic emotional nature always defeats my practical nature. This might be in part a negative reaction to all the crap that's happening in American politics ever since.... oh, January 2001.... (wait... there was the whole "So now the Supreme Court decides who gets to be President thing"... this sh*t has been going on longer than Bush has been in the White House!!!!) I'm just happy I'm in the same quadrant as Gandhi

Another update! Economic Left/Right: -5.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.00So, it seems I'm more economically leftist (though I know next to sh*t about economics... ) and a bit more Authoritarian, though I'm sure that's just because of one or two things I feel strongly about going against the general libertarian grain of my opinions.

Weird, cuz I like capitalism more than communism, I am certainly a Libertarian though. f**k, I suppose I really just want Anarchy, I admit that I don't want what's good for people; I just want to do what I feel like doing.

I'm a right wing liberatarian.
Honestly, I would want anarchy but I'm too cynical and I don't have enough faith in a lot of people so I'm for minimal government. But, I think i've got a good mix going on, I'm mainly right wing concerning economic issues (i'm for an economy with little government regulation) and then on social issues i have a good mix, i'm against abortion, against the death penalty, for gay marriage, and for protecting the environment.

I'm a moderate/neoliberal/civil libertarian. Ordinarily, I'd be extremely far down on the libertarian-authoritarian axis, but irrelevant questions about astrology and non-representational art are partly to blame for my slightly inaccurate score on that axis. I favor independent enterprise, individual initiative, and strong civil liberties protections.
I prefer the Nolan quiz, which places me in the same place, but 4 or 5 points more toward the libertarian side.
By the way, I favor Barack Obama.
